Aussie here. Ben has been a well-known actor in Oz since the 1980s - so much so that his success internationally in his 40s and 50s came as a bit of a surprise! I highly recommend some of his early Australian films.

Whether or not the movies are that good or not, don't take the credit away from Sarah. Specially talking about the Main MCU cast; RDJ, Chris Evans, Hemsworth etc. It's not just about money, maybe for cases like Angelina Jolie in Eternals or stuff like that, but for the most part the credit goes to Sarah Halley THE G.O.A.T Finn. Plus i can definitely tell this movies arent your cup of tea so there's no point in debating anything related to it. Thanks for your time :)

That pilot episode was impressive. Marvel has gotten away from the Earth-based struggles that I find so intriguing, and ventured off into multiversal, extraterrestrial and quantum level spectacles that hold some promise, but that have paled in comparison to their earlier films based around familiar settings and human level issues. It's got the feel of those vintage spy dramas, and you're second guessing every interaction for that character's real motives, but also whether they are even human at all. I like that Sam Jackson is playing Fury with a little more vulnerability and apprehension, because he has felt fairly in control and in-the-know up until this point, so to see him fragile and exposed heightens your own fear for what lies ahead. I already like Olivia's character, Sonya, even though I have this distrust of her embedded from the season trailer. She seems like a delight to work with on set, and a genuinely fun colleague to the cast. And Emilia Clarke and Ben Mendelsohn are freakishly talented and they establish their fraught father-daughter relationship in the show right away. I just hope that this series doesn't do what other Disney+ series have done, where they start off really promising, and then shy away from getting into heavy topics that bear resemblance to our current reality. They always end with the status quo being upheld and the villain's very relatable and sometimes understandable motives are never given their due consideration and weight. The end of the series usually moves on from the conflict having learned little and changed not in the slightest, even though the protagonists advocate for better circumstances. Fingers crossed this time will be different, given that this show has allegorical context that feels so relevant and present.

Yeah, Marvel films (and especially the endless TV series) have been pretty meh since Endgame, with the exception of the Spiderman films. I definitely get the feeling that we've reached saturation point, with the quality going downhill. I hope this movie turns it around.

The most popular tv show currently is a superhero show, the biggest cartoon is a superhero show. Marvel is just lost and doesn't know what to do. How do you follow up Thanos? He's a great villain because you saw his point of view, you understood it and knew the sacrifice would actually be good for the world, but it's still genocide, so morally we don't agree with it. But what do you after? You build this up for 10 years and you wanna follow it up with Kang who just wants to destroy worlds. People want stories that are relatable, heroes and villain you can connect with. Marvel has shat the bed since then.
