The end gave me warm feelings. He’s such an authentic guy. And if I ran into him I would totally just say hey thanks for making cool movies. I happen to be in my early 20s and a bunch of my friends said you’ve got to go see this new movie and took me to see Reservoir dogs in a midnight showing in the theater. Holy shit. Imagine an existence without Tarantino’s films. I have always felt something after watching each of them, like I’ve almost been through a real experience myself, there isn’t one that hasn’t had an impact, even when rewatching them. If you are really familiar with his work, every film, how hard it is to pick one you would say is his best or your favourite, or on the flip side of that question which one is his worst or you hate. The guy is arguably the most influential director of the 21st Century.

This is an interview to promote Quentin's movie. The literal definition of a good interview is to ask interesting, nuanced questions that demand the interviewee to think. Most interviews are conducted in the same pattern and with the same bland questions, questions that the interviewees have already answered dozens of times. If I ever met QT, I’d tell him that when I saw Pulp Fiction in the theater in 1994, the credits rolled at the end and everyone just sat there sort of stunned. No one got up, no one said anything. Everyone knew they had just seen something brilliant, even if they didn’t understand it. A quarter century later, the film still reveals little things with each replay. Sitting in a bar with pals and dissecting QT films over many beers is still just about my favorite social activity in the world.

He casts perfectly. I knew Waltz would win the Oscar for his Landa. Thought Leo could’ve won for Django also, Pitt deserved his for Hollywood. My favorite thing about QT as a director and a person, is that he is never quick to judge a movie simply because it was made the way he would. His excitement for things like Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, and even the MCU is so refreshing to see in a director as revered as he is. Also, Inglorious Basterds is one of my all time favorite movies.

The little montage at the end is almost somewhat emotional as a fan of this bloke! Tarantino has a lot of opinions that float around about him, a lot of them can be pretty nasty and hateful (and while I can understand some of them, it's still a touch odd), yet for me and many others the guy is such a peoples' filmmaker! Kung Fu Panda definitely takes notes from Kill Bill, but it isn’t a Kill Bill parody. It’s an homage to the Kung Fu genre, of which it naturally follows similar beats to Kill Bill.
