Almost every genius that came in to this world was looked at as delusional, and insane, but still ended up following their beliefs and changed the world. Ladies & gentlemen, one of today's geniuses. Kanye West.
@CeegeTheKid
@CeegeTheKid 10 жыл бұрын
I'm 17, but regardless age doesn't mean shit. And neither does your comment. I don't give a fuck what you think about Kanye, and all that shit you think you know about him. I relate to Kanye's music, and I've been a fan of his for a while now, so I understand Kanye, and what he's trying to do. And that's all that matters to me. If you really think you sitting there and typing all that hate is gonna suddenly change my opinion about him, you're wrong. I'm done explaining Kanye to people. If you don't get it, then you just don't fucking get it.
@Reapz141
@Reapz141 10 жыл бұрын
I respect your comment sir, but Kanye West is not a genius. He is merely a rapper that thinks money makes him better than anyone else, when he is really just someone that can put words together and rhyme. He has not helped anyone. Arrogance is a key to hell.
@CeegeTheKid
@CeegeTheKid 10 жыл бұрын
Reap Reaperton Man.. Name a rapper that ain't cocky. People single out Kanye for being egocentric, and completely ignore the fact that the dude is an artist that pasts musics normal expectations. His live performances are like Broadway shows, his lyrics over the past 10 years have touched several different popular subjects, and his beats are uniquely made to express his exact emotions at the time it was made. I respect your opinion and everything, but Kanye is one of a kind. And personally, Kanye has helped me, and I know I'm not the only one that feels that way.
@LulzRoyce
@LulzRoyce 10 жыл бұрын
Colin Kamensky LL Cool J, Eminem, even Wiz Khalifa (yeah his songs say some cocky shit but in real life he's always saying "I don't like to say 'I' because we are a team and I would have never made it if it wasnt for these guys on my team" - talk about humble - Kanye would never say shit like that - he would take all the credit and just call himself a "genius" sigh.. bitch nigga.
@CeegeTheKid
@CeegeTheKid 10 жыл бұрын
LulzRoyce Whatchu mean bruh? He's still talking about the people that helped him come up. Dame, Jay-Z, No ID, all them dudes. Just listen to his song Big Brother. He's basically shouting out everyone that helped him. And Jay-Z is like his brother. He gives the credit where it's due. And he was never apart of a crew when he was coming up like Wiz & Taylor Gang. He was just with a select few. Now he's with GOOD Music and he's supporting all the artists that are apart of it. LL Cool J literally stands for Ladies Love Cool J.. How ain't that cocky? And Eminem just called himself a Rap God. And Wiz Khalifa is cocky. Your examples sucked.

And Yeezy is a billion dollar company under Kanyes Direction. Thing is, he's not done being right and I'm looking forward to watching him as he makes that 10 billion step.

Now, you really starting to see the rap community start to disown, almost despise mainstream rappers, such as Drake, Lil yachty, lil uzi, etc. Guys that are underground, that have different sounds and pride themselves on making unique music that no one else makes are the ones that are starting to blow up. The problem that Kanye fails to realize is that many artist of any type sees the goal or "I've made it" is becoming apart of the mainstream culture and having corporations back you with money. You get guys like Migos, Young Thug, 2012 Drake or Chance the Rapper who make music that redefines a genre of rap, but are quickly adopted by the mainstream media and are forced to "make music like your hit songs (and don't try anything different, just stick to the hits)", which limits creativity overall in a genre. And with 2013, Frank Ocean's Channel Orange losing AOTY to Mumford & Sons, 2014 Macklemore beating Kendrick Lamar's GKMC for Rap AOTY, 2015 Beck beating Beyonce and pharrell, 2015 Taylor Swift beating Kendrick Lamar's TPAB {My favorite album ever}, and 2016 with Adele beating Beyonce's Lemonade. All of the losers were beaten out by established and radio friendly artist, who made music that was easily accepted by the mass. The losers' albums were some of the greatest albums made this decade and were turned away from the Grammys because their sound didn't match an easily replicated sound that they can mass produce. You can name 10 singers who make music like Tyalor Swift or Adele, but Beyonce, Kendrick, Kanye, and Frank Ocean are in leagues of their own. Thats why its very important that Chance the Rapper doesn't go mainstream (or just stay independent) and allow the execs to force him to make music like "Coloring Book" (which most fan would agree isn't better than Acid Rap). Hopefully, he will continue to change his sound and inspire other artist to stay independent to keep their creative ideas as their own.

Zane and Kanye are on two different wave lengths. Zane, as nice and polite of an interviewer he is, is trying to steer the conversation towards an intellectual conversation about music. Kanye is talking about subjects they are way more transcendent than music. He's talking about the illusion of freedom for black people, and the constant struggles he faces to get his art out there in various mediums beyond music.

Kanye's not a "do it all by yourself" guy. He's a collaboration guy. Working with other people means working with more ideas. That's why he works with a lot of people with his music. When he was recording MBDTF, he would constantly ask people what they thought of the music and would ask/allow them to pitch in ideas and criticisms. Everybody from guest artists to the mailman. He wanted input from everybody. That's how Ye rolls.

He's tried to go on his own and he lost millions of dollars, he said this on sway and the thing he's saying about t shirts, he's not knocking sleepwear designers he's just saying that the yeezus brand tour t shirts are the most sought after concert t shirts of all time and even the people who didn't go to the tour want them, but he doesn't want to be limited to t shirts for an upcoming tour. He wants to make whatever he wants when we wants for whatever creative thought comes into his head. The reason he's trying to get in with these companies is he simply isn't big enough yet, he doesn't have their resources and companies like Nike know this and limit him. I can just imagine Kanye doing this exact monologue in this exact way in his pajamas to Kim as she's getting ready for bed, turning off the lights, and he keeps on going and she's just like 'Kanye... Kanye... Ka-KANYE! SHUT THE FUCK UP" "We've got this new thing now, it's called classisim" "YES. Now let me go to sleep" "I just old you what I was, A GOD!" "Ohhhh fuuck uhh"

Whether you like him or not, he is a genius. His mind and Elon’s mind run on the same wave. You can tell by the way they express themselves. Kanye just has a boatload of vibrato.

Dude, he makes sense. Dr. Dre made a billion dollars in net worth. Think; if that's possible for Dre, Kanye could do it if he had his business shit, which in his case was art and fashion and shit. Then he could make that money somehow and do crazy shit.

that's what driving him insane. Because most companies just put the celebrities name on the cover and they do the rest. Kanye actually designed the Yeezy's and he's not getting any royalty or control.

I don't think Kanye is a genius, but he's a good artist and he definitely seems to have good points to make...he just presents them oddly. He's undeniably revolutionary and plans to do more and more and that's cool. I love how self aware he is haha.

That's because all he cares about is money, he used to be great, now he's a prick. He's not a genius, he's a money hungry ego maniac. 2:30 says it all right there, all he care about is money.

LulzRoyce Naw it's not the money. He has money. It's the grandeur. It's the accolades. He wants people to witness what he built and call it genius. The problem there is that he's only at that level in music and nothing else. He talks about wanting to build hotels and churches and design water bottles. He has no credibility in any of that and he's frustrated because he thinks he's amazing at all those things, without ever having done them.

He has good points to make, yes, but I'm sorry, self aware? No. A self aware person would realise how arrogant they sound and present their view in a better way.
