From sweaty hands to dark smelly patches under our arms, sweating often gets a bad rep. It might be one of the weirdest biological functions of our body, but it is a vital and little-understood process that has helped to keep us alive.
Professor Sarah Everts says it is time for us to find joy instead of shame in our sweat.

Wish the video also touched on people who have hyperhidrosis. Sweating can be incredibly embarrassing and uncomfortable for millions of people.

I have that. I'm always the first to sweat, and profusely at that. Fortunately, I don't live in any circles where that is a problem.

I forgot there is a stigma about sweat. I think that is an artifact of modern urban culture, where people live far from nature in air conditioned offices and schoolrooms, wearing uncomfortable fancy clothes.

Sweating has a weakness, that it only works in arid weather. Evaporation itself grinds to a halt when the ambient hummity is 70% or higher.

You just need to keep your under arms cleaned well, to keep the odors away. Move that soap around, to get the bad bacteria killed off.

So the gland that is a cause for the stinky sweat is the one that releases pheromones for potential mates? Is that what it's for? Is this why some people think some stink and others like the smell? -
