This brings tears to my eyes. My son attempted a new trick on a trampoline breaking both bones in his underarm, through the skin. He had surgery that day to place a metal rod into each bone, the entire length of each. Just a few days ago, 4 months later, he just had surgery to remove the two metal rods. All this during a global pandemic. He did and is doing great. Me, the mother is still a little worse for wear. Blessings to all the amazing doctors and nurses out there.

I was at gymnastics and fell to the floor but didn’t really cry or scream, just held ,y leg and was grimacing (I went into shock). My coach thought I sprained something or pulled a muscle so she had me get up and walk… I tried to put slight weight on it and screaming pain, crying, falling to the floor. Caused more injury. To be fair, I have a very high pain tolerance and didn’t initially react how someone normally would with a broken femur since I was in shock.
