Fabulous!! Look at Danny kicking it with the pro lads and fitting right in, though. Brilliant!

LOVED this: the Art Deco dresses, the top hat & tails, the music, the fact it was a ballroom number, Nat charisma-bashing everyone else out of the room, and just the choreography in general. It was also one of the least effed-up routines by camera work (unlike Louise, Greg & Claudia's).

Hilarious they went straight to Ed literally sitting on a chair to Danny leading the procession of professionals and fitting right in. Gorgeous dance. And how good were the singers?

Wow. I actually got goosebumps watching this. Come on, DWTS -- give us some routines like this at least once in while. Constantly oversexed and overdone Latin/borderline Contemporary numbers are NOT representative of the entire spectrum of dance. Give us some show-stopping Ballroom numbers for a change!

I agree! The only group number I've enjoyed this season was the waltz to Titanic, absolutely beautiful.

This is one of the best routines that has been on Strictly. The men in top hat and tails, and the girls in beautiful dresses. What's not to like? I wish there were more group routines like this instead of the strange ones which have been on lately.

They've actually done a group dance to this song twice, but I think this is the better of the two :) Not that the other one is bad - not by any means!!!!! :D

I have to agree, we only got 1 ballroom number this season, all the rest has been them prancing around doing some strange love story and no actual traditional dancing.

I wish they would have more group dances similar to this, rather than the weird ones they have been having lately! Lovely dresses on the girls and the men looked very smart.

Damn! I didn't know the celebs joined the pros in this number! They all look fabulous! Danny, in particular, looks like one of the pros... Edit: the group sequence from 2:46 reminds me of the old Come Dancing programme. LOL

I remember the old 'Come Dancing' too. Particularly the formation dances. The women always decked out in shocking pink or orange (what looked like) crinoline type dresses. When I was a kid watching it with my Nana I thought "Why do the women always look so old fashioned?" Presentation and costumes have come a long way since then.

Jeez- the one time an overhead camera shot would've made perfect artistic sense- at the Busby Berkeley moment at 2:05- and they don't do it. They blart it out all over the place at other useless moments, but not at the crucial one. It's almost as if the people in charge of such things are only literate in showing what cameras can do, rather than what dancers can do...

OHHHHHHKAY, where are you "CAL"....I made a comment about a dance last week and you mentioned our DWTS in Hollywood California is more "Show Bizzy" than dancing....HAHAHA...this weeks group dance made me laugh and think of you!! Looks a little "Show Bizzy" in Blackpool too love! Come on...admit it, you LOVE the Glitz and Glam on the other side of the pond too! Right on!! :)

Many of the most celebrated routines and touches in "Strictly" ultimately derive from either Hollywood or Broadway. So any dancing show owes an awful lot to America, in truth. There's too much rabid patriotism going on over the internet. Having said that, apart from odd moments of brilliance like Nicole Scherzinger's AT I _do_ prefer 'Strictly'.

Laura Dixon It's the same Crystal pattern.
@topcatrox8 жыл бұрын
They've been recycling the dresses something fierce this year. Joanne has had two of her dresses recycled from BBC Proms (waltz and her salsa dress). I swear the costume budget gets cut every year.
@lauravision27918 жыл бұрын
Ah yes I thought I recognised Joanne's salsa dress as well!
@jamielambert60758 жыл бұрын
topcatrox katya wore Joanne's tango dress as her signature dress didn't she? I wouldn't say it's the budget, more volume and pressure they're under to impress , and it's understanble if it is the budget, there's a lot more to take into considetation nowadays!!
@topcatrox8 жыл бұрын
Mary Yeah, maybe! Although, if you compare how the dresses looked on a regular basis just 5 years ago to now, they've lost a lot of volume in the ballroom dances, and the bedazzlement is less and less than it used to be as well. The trouser tailoring is so tight as well, I'm surprised there's only been a couple of accidents of seems splitting mid dance in Kev and Brendan. Especially more noticeable when the amount of celebrities is less than usually so at this point in recent years. I do remember the previous costume designer said they struggled with budget constraints towards the end of their tenure with the show. I commend their work and the work they produce, but I've noticed more recycling than ever.

@lucycartwright24288 жыл бұрын
Super-Fly Agility chloe, one of the professionals who doesn't have a partner this year, wasn't in this pro dance nor the Sunday night one, Aj was dancing on his own in that one as well. She was at Blackpool so I'm guessing she got injured or was unwell so she couldn't perform? I would have thought though that one of the extras would have danced with the odd one out
