Irene Tanya at the high school I graduated from the health clinic would come in to classes once a year and talk about pregnancy and sti/std preventatives and later options for wanted and unwanted pregnancy and they were always very open to the fact that most high schoolers are sexually active so they didn’t do the whole “don’t have sex” thing where they’d preach abstinence and just expect students to not have sex just because they were told it was bad, they knew the reality and would show us how to put on condoms (female and male), tell us about different types of birth controls and dental dams and tell us about the severity of STIs and STDs, and teach us about how to be safe at parties and what to do if we see someone trying to drug someone at a party. Plus every week a health nurse would sit in a classroom all lunch and students were allowed to go in and ask questions, talk about problems they had or tell them if they thought they had any problems that could be a sign of an sti or std and they could make an appointment for the clinic, and they even handed out free condoms and could give students birth control for a fraction of the price and stuff like that, I was lucky to go to a school that had a really good and thorough sex-ed curriculum and although there were still a few pregnancies (like 3 that I knew of within the 4 years I attended high school) they consciously made the choice to have sex and risk pregnancy even though they were taught it was a risky decision.

I have to say those doctors were wonderful. Non accusing and compassionate. I think if more doctors were like that then people would be more likely to go and get tested and treated. I think here in the USA people are treated like a number and that makes people not care about themselves or their partners. My son (before he passed away) had a friend who knew he was HIV positive and for the longest time he wouldn't get treated because he didn't like how the doctors mad him feel. He was having unprotected sex for years until he came to me and asked me to help him find a good doctor. We searched for a long time until he found someone he felt comfortable with and really liked. He began treatment and never had unprotected sex again. He made a list of all of the partners he could remember and he (with me in tow per his request) went back to each person and told them of his condition. He was afraid things might get crazy which is why he asked me to go with him. To MY surprise everyone was calm (as could be). Anyway (sorry I kind of went off of the topic) These doctors need to be cloned. We need more like them.

Sex has life and death consequences, meaning we could get pregnant with a guy’s spawn or die from a disease we get from him - or both! She looked very close to her mum, I highly suspect that she'd already told her mum she suspected she was having a miscarriage and might be pregnant, and looked in such shock after getting the news (hence falling down the stairs) that she just blurted the news straight out. The mum didnt sound too suprised so they'd probably already talked about it beforehand and the mum was waiting for the call when she got out the clinic

It's been 5 years for me (by choice, thankfully). I feel like it's a good thing to give your body and mind a break from the pressure and emotions involved in physical relationships in order to appreciate everything when I'm ready and also to try and learn to love myself more so that I can reflect back affection and the right kind of attention when I do have another relationship since one night stands aren't my thing. Good for you :)

her mother is very kind and supportive which is good but tbh she needs to be more strict in raising her daughter bcos she’s has a bit too much freedom, the fact that she had been pregnant as a teen multiple times is bad enough already.... not saying sex before marriage is that big of a crime but she def needs to be more careful and concerned along with most of the people in this video especially that first dude he seems so irresponsible
