@@jilomell3830 I really wish you would try that superbrain yoga and tell me if you get the results that a lot of people claim to have gotten with it... also there is a tea called butterfly blue pea tea.. and you take the flowers and steep about five or six of them for about 20 minutes to a half-hour and it is supposed to be very good for the neurology and everything that has to do with the brain and it's supposed to be very good for you for neurological things. Another one that's supposed to be very good for the brain but tastes horrible and so you might be better off taking it in capsules is called haritaki... you can even go to the haritaki channel... he even sells it in the capsules... if you do it in the regular powdered form is really gross because it has a horrible taste and also the texture is like powdered sawdust.. supposedly it increases the oxygen by something like 300% to the brain and it just makes you a lot smarter and helps with many things and so you might want to look into it

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid” In school people get's judged by their ability to spell and read. If you aren't able to do it, you will be labeled as stupid, lazy, worthless and the list goes on. Even if you know that it's not true, it will immensely damage a persons selfesteem and scar them for life, and if a person doesn't treat these psychological scar. It will affect them for the rest of their life, which is unfortunate but sadly true. Sorry if there is spelling mistakes or grammatical errors, i am dyslexic.

I'm a primary teacher and I have to say that dyslexic pupils have my greatest respect. I've yet to meet a child with dyslexia who doesn't put 110% into their education, and knowing how much more difficult the whole curriculum is (due to it being very word and sight heavy) I am always amazed at their effort and results despite their condition. Last year I had a heart to heart with a young girl in my class who had been successfully concealing her dyslexia, previous teachers had just presumed she wasn't as smart as others and put her in the lowest groups. However, she is so witty and creative, finally it just clicked for me one day and she is now on a specialised programme. She was so embarrassed that she had been 'found out', but her parents and I explained why she had no reason to be ashamed - in fact, she should be proud of how much she has achieved despite her disadvantage. She hailed Steven Spielberg - arguably the best known director alive today and the man behind her favourite movie, E.T. - as her new hero as he is one of the many people out there today proving dyslexia doesn't stop people from doing great things. Someone in this video mentioned ignorance - absolutely, the people who say those things written on those slips are merely showing their lack of knowledge.

There are people out there without the ability to empathise with anyone different to them - the fact that some of those people get themselves into responsible positions, like doctors and teachers, is frightening. Your teacher sounds like a moron, I hope you had others at school who actually understood what dyslexia was and gave you a more enjoyable education! As for folk who say they wouldn't date a dyslexic person, I'd respond that you don't want to date someone who, by thinking that, is so clearly narrow-minded, idiotic and not worth the time! :) You're better than those people, mate!

Doesn’t work properly if you don’t speak English natively. For example Finnish version works quite well, but you have to articulate very slowly and carefully. Otherwise it’ll say something completely different if anything. I’d rather type out than take the risk of ”autocorrect” kind of situation.

It takes time and practice to master writing skills as a dyslexic. I'm dyslexic and I am an excellent writer in my native language, but when I have to switch to another language (I am a trilingual) it's super frustrating because I have to remember spelling, grammar, pronunciation and frequently I have to stop and check if I haven't messed up anything. It used to be much worse two years ago. I'm getting better every day at it but I have to work extra hard on it.

i'm dyslexic and its always been numbers the main issue, I can read and write fine, i dont struggle with reading at all and just some spelling and grammar issues (sometimes i write letters or whole words backwards but its not as common as i used to) for me it was and always has been like a mental block with numbers, they confuse me and as people describe letters and words "moving about the page" when they try to read with dyslexia, numbers do that for me. not saying i'm problem free with writing though. dyslexia is much more than just words and numbers though, it can cause difficulty with planning and organisation, memory and being easily distracted.

Being dyslexic in the 80's and 90's was horrible. No one was as understanding of it as they are today. I never got extra time and was allways seen as an idiot. My entire life. The worst part was being treated as though it was simply something I could correct. That eventually I would be "normal" and if I wasn't then it was MY fault. I never felt more tortured then the day I was asked by my mother to use the last of her money (we were vary poor) to buy 4 dozen eggs and a gallon of milk. I returned home with 4 gallons of milk and a dozen of eggs. My father punished me and beat me for my mistake. I have allways felt more ignorant then everyone around me because I can not spell correctly (auto correct is amazing btw😅) but regardless I have grown into an amazing adult. While I may not have been lucky enough to go to college or get a good start in life because of my dyslexia, I have (thanks to technology and the internet) grown significantly intelligent. To the point were even my worst enamies now admit that I am smarter then them. I feel living my life regarded as "slow" or "lazy" by those who did not understand kept me from a lot of opportunities in life. I am happy to see that my misfortunes will not be effecting others with dyslexia in the future. While I may be working a vary below average job, at least I can now tell people I have dyslexia and not be ashamed. It is no longer seen as a "deficiency" and we are no longer treated like idiots. That is honestly more then a good enough reason to keep living my life.

I didn't get diagnosed til a year ago. I had a screening as a kid and it never got picked up. I got ridiculed by teachers and my parents thinking I was vbeing lazy or didn't give a shit or just pretending I couldn't do it. I got ridiculed by friends and peers laughing at me for not expressing my words properly or saying the right sentence and being called dumb for it or special or stupid. So yeah I can imagine circumstances were much worse bck then, but even now regardless of the recognition there are still people struggling.

These are the ones that really irritates me and I get it all the time "you feel too sorry for yourself". "You need to get out a bit more ". "I've been depressed before as well but I just got over it ". "Do something that will get it off your mind -go out and party or something ". "It's all in your head". "Your over thinking it ,just leave it ". "You have to think more possitively". "Your too young to be depressed ". "Everyone has issues ,everyone's been bullied at school you need to get over it ". I get at least 1 of these all the time and usually it's come from friends as well , it irritates me so much 😂😂 it's like if you think that depression is just feeling sad for no reason then you need to do your research before challenging someone who has it and has to deal.with it on a daily basis . Just because it's not a visible condition doesn't mean that it's not serious or that people are being dramatic.

I'm dyslexic and when I was younger like 5, 6, 7 and ,8 I would throw a fit if I had to read and my parents would have to force me but as I got older it was the total opposite and my parents would have to force me to stop reading. Books/reading are my favourite things but still I constantly read the same line over and over again. And some people just assume that if you have dyslexia you don't like to read which is totally not true! Also I found this video so relatable and true.

I have a very sad story. In the early 60's no one knew what dyslexic was. So i was put in a group of kids that where very special needs, each year i got to go to the next grade level not because i earned it. They said it was the right thing to do. I didn't find out i was dyslexic until my girls were diagnosed with it. I still don't get the spelling but when kids where learning what to use like ( their or there - were or where) because i didn't get that part of grammar I'm never sure witch one to ues. But here is the good part when i got a job i ended up with a secretary that did all of my writing for me. I was making over $70,000 a year.

I remember the words. I still get my spelling wrong and my grammar but most people can read what I'm texting to say. Most people don't know I can't spell because I'm dyslexic but now I type thur my phone if it's not a word I use often you may think I just missed spelled a word but really I don't or didn't know that I spelled it wrong. Every third person is dyslexic. Most are undiagnosed. Some have mild dyslexia, some have more severe. I found out i am dyslexic as a young adult. I had difficulties studying at school. My classmates knew i wasn't mentally impaired coz they knew how often i had an open book in front of me, which was never. Living in dorms everyone knows who is studying hard and who isn't. In my exams i got decent grades, average. To my classmates, it simply made no sense. But my teachers were all convinced that i was mentally challenged and that i was stupid until one of my classmates spilled the beans to our class teacher about my study habits. After that the teachers told me i should spend more time studying to get better grades, they made me sit in front an open book after dinner before sleep, but i was miserable, coz half of the sentences i read, made no sense, coz i was reading wrong. It was a waste of time, it didn't help. It only made me miserable and sleep deprived. The only thing that helped, was studying in groups. My classmates would read aloud, we would discuss the subjects, explain to each other and quiz each other. I could learn by listening and i could avoid the torture of reading.

I'm still on page one at this point. If I speak up and say I'm not done, she wants to give me a couple extra minutes, and I'm still on page one. So, I just don't speak up.

I have dyslexia and ADHD(combined type). I have been diagnosed twice by two professional psychologists who specialized in learning and attention disabilities, at two different times in my life. My second psychologist ended up having to list my dyslexia as several specific learning disabilities because in Tennessee(a state in the U.S.A.) the majority of schools’ administrations believe and treat dyslexia as a personal learning disability that a student will eventually grow out of, therefore offer those with dyslexia no assistance.

That pretty shitty and I believe it's actually illegal. National law basically states students with learning "disabilities" must be accommodated. And screened at a young age, and have teachers go through courses on how to teach students with "disabilities" It had been proven dyslexia is a genetical difference.... also ADD/ADHD go hand in hand with dyslexia/dysgraphia/the other dys-. 'm sorry dude. I live in Oregon and we have a few laws that protect dyslexic students... America's ed system=sh-tty. And OMG it's not a flipping disability it's just a goddam flipping difference! karmabyshishir.blogspot.com/2018/09/three-dyslexic-child-part-2.html I wish to share what it means to be dyslexic....the real insight of the one suffering from all the humiliations because of his flaws. The pain and suffering that come along when there's no one to understand you and really be there for you when you need them the most. I wrote a novel based on my life experiences and turned it into a blog. Please Read it...and if you like it please comment to help me progress these Novel of mine...and If you find it of worth then do Share and help awareness grow.
