so funny how it's such a novelty and everyone is so excited. here in nyc trains run constantly (less often at night but still) so this is so funny to me hahah. also the vixens were amazing loved em
@BhagwantRai654 Жыл бұрын
NYC has more trains than there is yard space, so it is forced to run the service 24/7. It literally can't store all of its trains if it needed to close at night. Also, as NYC doesn't have tube tunnels like London and instead has shallow and wide multi track tunnels, maintenance can still take place while the service is running. Unfortunately, London Underground will always be constrained by its age as the first subway system in the world.

Kind of embarrassing that in 2016, the new air-conditioned rakes of London Underground are being advertised as cutting-edge new feature. (On another video, where comments are disabled).
@jur4x8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's a problem on deep tunnel lines. I'm actually still interested how the hell are they going to dissipate extra heat from air conditioners. Those tunnels are really tiny! I do understand this is a period feature - modern TBM's were not around yet, when most lines were built, but still.

I think only the US runs 24hr train services and now they are paying the price for it, when you can never take a piece of track out of service you can only afford the most basic maintenance, now places like NYC are trying to think of a way to overhaul their entire underground without disrupting service while most other major cities like London, Berlin and Tokyo get overhauled piece by piece between the hours of 1am and 5am forcing revellers to get buses.
