I bet you don't live anywhere near where Tigers roam. Just like the foreigners who give financial backing. The guy who lost his eye may be stupid but at least one can say he practices what he preaches. All Tiger lovers should swap with the local villagers and live around the killers they want to preserve so much, let's see how that goes. The best part is teaching kids to always walk with a stick, as if that does anything when a 600 pound tiger jumps on them. It's like a South Park sketch, only these are real people that will die.

Nepal was the first Asian country I visited back in 1987. I went for 2 months. I visited Chitwan National Park for 5 days. I saw 6 Rhinos, a Mugger Crocodile, a Sloth Bear ( Baloo from Jungle Book ), and 2 species of Monkey. and many many birds. On a 1 day Jungle walk, just myself with 2 guides, I did see a fresh tiger footprint in mud, whilst walking through the long grass.

In Germany, people complain about the return of the Wolf and other predators. This is so redicolous compared to the conflict we see here, 'cause no human has been injured by a Wolf in Germany in over 20 years. A huge respect to the guy who lost one eye due to a tiger and *still* believes in a peaceful side-by-side between humans and tigers. *This* is what deserves high regards!

The main propaganda campaign against especially wolves is coming from the hunting lobby (competition) and the livestock farming lobby (competition). I am all for helping small farmers but here in the West we don't have subsistence farmers instead subsidised Disneyland which could be replaced by plant based agriculture to save land for re-wilding and carbon sink. Go vegan. “If the world adopted a plant-based diet we would reduce global agricultural land use from 4 to 1 billion hectares” ourworldindata org land-use-diets New "most comprehensive study to date" from Oxford comparing various diets across several environmental factors. The results show dramatically how vegan diets are far less destructive. Doesn't include ocean biodiversity nature. Source - nature /s43016-023-00795-w "Phasing out animal agriculture represents “our best and most immediate chance to reverse the trajectory of climate change,” according to a new model developed by scientists from Stanford and the University of California, Berkeley." Thats because people are to afraid. We buy our food at the shop and don't even realise that we ourselves are also food for other species thats where it goes wrong. You saw the outrage of the community they don't understand that we won't all survive and become old, there is no species on earth that has it so comfortable as us and we still complain and getting angry when a very few get eaten by other species. we have it so good but we fear death way to much we should understand that its part of life and loss also teaches humans something about love.

I congratulate Nepal and all those that worked so hard on being the only country out of the 13 to achieve their goal to double their tiger populations. I'm so glad to see tiger populations coming back. I also feel for the people that live there. It must be like living on the razors edge in some ways. Attempting to eek out a living and not get ate at the same time would have to cause a few night terrors! The soldiers and te conservationists have their hands full, but seem to be VERY qualified to do their jobs and take great pride in it. I hope they find a solution that all get to live peacefully. As for the gentleman that got attacked and lost an eye, I am so proud of you for standing strong and staying true to your beliefs. You are an inspiration and a great champion.

I got no words when he had lost his one eye by tiger attack and still saying tiger also have right to live ..with simplicity here again simplicity had won against the world ..may be he had lived fullest life in the lap of the nature and he definitely knows the value of nature and its creation.... a big solute to such hero who still believe in humanity..

Yes. The world belongs to all the creatures. I am so happy to see such competent people working together. I am sure they will find a way to decrease the number of tiger attacks without harming tigers. And, the footage of the Queen and Late king Mahendra disappointed me a little. Killing animals for pleasure is not acceptable

One of the most majestic creatures on Earth. Glad to see their numbers are rising, but also feel for folks that live on the periphery. But if we don’t protect the Tigers who will?

Me too, i ve been there one year ago, one of the villagers said that around 20 -22 people get killed every year by tiger attack in those villages around national park. I think government of Nepal and other INGOs should collaborate together to resolve this issue, otherwise situation might be more harsh in the future days.
