She could not finish her talk and her voices were covered by Stephen Sackur. 我个人的感觉是，没有香港人反对民主自由；但是当示威者霸占机场，到后来到处打砸抢烧的时候，破坏香港的法制，就已经不是自由民主了，而是破坏社会分裂国家了。我猜测在那些勇武者眼中，他们做的是正义之事，师出有名；但也有很多香港人，认为民生和法制同样重要，这种毁掉香港而胁迫港府和中央的方法不可取也没有希望。说一个简单的例子，美国国会山事件，最终被定性为叛国。香港立法会被占领，难道不是类似的性质么？

@@snowgame365同意，尤其是有天安门事件的前车之鉴，我实在想不出中央会与暴力示威妥协的可能性。我觉得这可能就是学生运动不理性不成熟的一面，他们不会去考虑务实的一面，只是一开始的一腔热血，只想着抗争就好了，但不去想如何结束运动达到自己的目标。最后五大诉求里要求不追究示威者犯下的罪行，更加体现了他们的软弱和没有担当。

Well done Regina for rebuking all the false statements and invalid accusations by Sackur on HK law and national secuirty. As expected Sackur again followed the same playbook of Anglo Saxon (US/UK) tactics of smearing and instigating instability of China. The fact of the matter is HK since 2020 passing of the law ammendment is very peaceful and no more 2019 riot events which is not what US/UK wanted to see

The Brits have a harsher national security law (Sacker didn't protest when Regina pointed it out) but Sacker then says it is in the implementation. Is Mr Sacker an MP who can represent the British Government. Or is he wishing for slack policing of said law. I suppose it is his job to do what he is doing.

One point I must agree with her is that in comparison with what Hong Kong was 200 hundred years ago, there is already a great leap in the prosperity of the place and the welfare of its inhabitants. Hong Kong people didn't have stuffs like cellphone back then and guess what, Hongkongers now have Huawei and Xiaomi cellphones! Thanks to the motherland and also Ms Ip. 英国有14部国安法律，谈法律严苛程度，英国人会被自己打脸。伦敦警方仅2023年11月的一次支持巴勒斯坦游行就抓捕126人，随后禁止此类游行。英国人自己都明白毫无理由质疑香港立法，这也就是这个主持人总是打断叶女士讲话的原因。不损坏国家利益这是基本要求。黎智英如果真被发现和外国勾结，干预香港事务，那他就该接受惩罚。这不是普通的政治自由问题，勾连外国干预本国本区内政，在哪都该是重罪。

@@thankyouamitabha 香港就算2019，2022年大乱2年，被起诉的按照这个主持人数据也就是200多人，暴乱期间也没被警察打死过一人。英国呢？英国对付异己：英国国安法的条文，与独裁者无异。根据新生效的英国国安法，英国法院可基于保障国家安全的需要，不进行公开审讯。英国国安法列明，“外国干预”首度被定义为刑事罪。何谓“外国干预”呢？条文中并未有清晰的定义。即是如果你从外国汇款至英国的家人，家人把钱捐款给议员，就有可能被英国国安法入罪。英国国安法还加以限制了对涉案者的人权，在涉案人士缺席、未获通知、未被听取陈述的情况下，内政大臣可以采取预防和调查措施，例如可禁止涉案者离开住所、或强制于某一处所、或禁止某些指定行为，如不可使用电脑、手机等。英国内政大臣的权力，被国安法提升到可以任意禁锢任何涉案人士，以及限制涉案者用电子通讯器材与他人联系。

根据新生效的英国国安法，英国法院可基于保障国家安全的需要，不进行公开审讯。英国国安法列明，“外国干预”首度被定义为刑事罪。何谓“外国干预”呢？条文中并未有清晰的定义。即是如果你从外国汇款至英国的家人，家人把钱捐款给议员，就有可能被英国国安法入罪。英国国安法还加以限制了对涉案者的人权，在涉案人士缺席、未获通知、未被听取陈述的情况下，内政大臣可以采取预防和调查措施，例如可禁止涉案者离开住所、或强制于某一处所、或禁止某些指定行为，如不可使用电脑、手机等。英国内政大臣的权力，被国安法提升到可以任意禁锢任何涉案人士，以及限制涉案者用电子通讯器材与他人联系。英国国安法还特别强化警方的权力。针对外国势力威胁活动，英国警方可采取无证逮捕、羁押等强制措施，检控前羁押可达14天，其间可搜集指纹、DNA及进行测谎，还可限制涉案人士咨询律师。英国警方更可搜查和扣押机密材料，包括机密新闻。英国的警权因国安法的实施，而变得无限大。不单如此，英国警方更可对涉案的个人，施加预防及调查措施，包括禁止旅行、财产交易限制、指定居住地、禁止或限制进入指定区域、使用金融服务、从事某项工作或学习，英国警方可要求涉案者定时报告、约谈、对其作出监视、披露住处和测谎等。

It's not just that. It is anything the government deems it to be. Protesting is now hard resistance, so you restrict yourself to expressing opions. Then, dissent is soft resistance, so you remain silent... until the government says you aren't expressing support, and so are engaging in soft resistance. So you start making some noise... And then the government accuses you again, this time because you weren't making enough noise. Basically, nothing short of the fever-pitch devotion as seen in the Cultural Revolution will suffice in the eyes of the government, eventually. This is incredibly dangerous. This government is NOT fit to rule.

Sounds more like an interrogation than an interview to me. The host keeps asserting ideas, opinions and even predictions to the interviewee and wishes to see she would back down and become submissive. If one hadn't known better, it's easy to confuse those two figures. Who has been working as a politician for many decades and who has been a TV show presenter. But the guest today just won't give in.
