Very useful starting point. I spent three days last week there in my 996 - an utter blast. The video is great but when you drive it in real life it's an amazing experience. Thanks for taking the time to out this together !

Came across this by accident and your speed and lines were very similar to my rx8. You carry some impressive corner exit speed onto the straights. Going to your tighter entry lines on t2 and t10 a go when next down there in September.

Great walk-through. I've driven this track quiet a few times however I've never had any instructors or analysis of my lines. This is a great insight into what is a quick time.

Great video. I watched this prior to taking my MX5 to Phillip Island for the first time late last year. Being new to any sort of track or high performance driving this was awesome for giving me some confidence prior to getting on the track myself. I was at the island for a come try day with the MSCA also and they had Cam McConville talk through the track turn by turn. There wasn't much difference between that and your guide. Hope you do this for a few of the other tracks in Vic!

This is a very good instructional video. And the guy in the Porsche gives a good indication of how much a driver difference makes.Only two things I picked, not that yours is wrong. Just my ideas. Brake as late as possible into turn 2 and hold the brake just enough to keep the car from spinning out ( should feel like it is going to rotate -360) until you get to around mid corner, between the two apexes. And turn 9, I like to stay out wide and bring it in more gradually, reducing the amount of understeer going over the crest.I know a lot of people could benefit from this video. Well done. Please share people..

Thanks so much for this video, I've only just come across it even though I've been going to PI for years now lol. How would you prepare differently for a heavier, higher powered RWD car in comparison? I'd love to understand which parts of my laps I'm losing the most time as I'm probably atleast a few seconds off where the cars potential would be... :)
@Bbeavis3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brett. Hard to say how a Commodore would change the approach as my experience is pretty much exclusively the MX-5, logically not a whole lot different I would think. Just a heavier set car with different gearing, but really the lines and approach to each corner should be the same.
@brettstuchbery16723 жыл бұрын
@@Bbeavis thanks for that, I'm definitely looking forward to getting out there again soon and working on my lines as from my video below from a while ago where I was doing 1:52.0 I can see some corners I'm turning in too early and impacting my exit line and speed... kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3O0inqqbsqfj80
