我是马来西亚华裔。我骨子里流的是中华血。我爱马来西亚,也爱中国历史文化。我父母是在1923年从中国来马来西亚。从小到大我受父母教育,感染,影响,所以我也是亲中。 我经常会这样子认为,I’m blessed to be a Malaysian and proud to be a Chinese。
How about non Chinese living in china can they also get all benifits and live with out racial discrimination? Cuz it seem like Chinese dont understand what it mean to treat others way you want to be treated
As a Malaysian born, UK raised ethnic Chinese, I personally think people that are in the video lacked a lot of knowledge about modern day China and how China is perceived vs how they actually are but that's okay, everyone can have an opinion and discuss things amongst ourselves. As a small minority in this country where we have zero voice at all, I had to research, travel and understand why it's "China bad, China evil" here everyday because I am being effected it by it here. The problem is if you really study China's and it's policies&politics, it''s not Communism anymore. It's Socialism with a strong push of Capitalism. 22:30 is a great example of this. I do think it's slightly different from Malaysian Chinese vs Western Chinese. Our understanding with politics, understanding of the world's politics are not the same. 34:51 for example. US overthrew 26 governments(officially known cases) in favour of dictator that will support US, mostly for those countries' natural resource. These countries have never recovered. US invaded Iraq in the name of "weapon of mass destruction" just to steal their $130b oil reserve. When you understand Western politics, you'll know they control the world using their military might and you can't separate debating China with the West. They are where you get your resources and information from. This was an interesting discussion for sure. I'm going to add from my own Western perspective. If the world do get into a conflict, It's going to be you as a Chinese vs them. It is something I understood growing up here. They see us all as the same. The world, especially the West currently, have a strong anti CHINESE sentiment. The hatred is more than just a country or political party now. I support China and it's glorious rise from zero to hero. I am a huge advocate for world peace. If China lead, I'm sure the world can have stability if the West allows it.. That is if Xi continue being in power.

I totally agree with your point above. I found that they have insufficient knowledge on china history ,ccp, the way xi jinping ruling china, and what is the meaning between to choose side us or side china. Therefore, the discussion become so meaningless when both parties do not have enough points on those.

Yes, I grew up in China and I grew up thinking that we were a "communist country". However, when I grew up and looked closer at what communism is, I find that China today (let's say since 2010) is actually not very different from a capitalist country. The only key difference is that China is ruled by one political party, not many. From this perspective, I can guarantee that all Western political parties envy it. Let's admit it, that's exactly what all Western political parties want. Also, based on history, a reasonable person should always know that any conflict between China and the West will eventually fall on all of us, no matter where we are. The people who make the rules always do these tricks to transfer the conflict and hatred to the people at the bottom. If anyone doesn't understand the past hatred of the Chinese, think of it as the Jews in WWII.

@@kaelthasblackmoore5770you don’t even need to look at Jews. Just search what happened to the Japanese in the USA during WWII
Watching this as a Malay is very insightful. I didn't realise being pro or anti-China can be such a controversial topic among Malaysian Chinese.

Because most Malays probably think all Malaysian Chinese are pro China and are communists (which in itself has a different definition in Malaysia)
