I recon that outfield catch would be more fondly remembered if the initial camerawork had been able to record it live… it’s somewhat overshadowed because most people didn’t get to see it properly. I was there when it happened, it deserved to be in the running for best of all time, the recording did not do it justice

Will be interesting to get to the bottom of that one. And was the Batsman given out, seeing that neither the ball or Batter touched the Bails?

The batter was not given out as he or the ball did not touch the stumps. To me it looks like the bails fell of when his front foot hit the pitch. The grass may have been loose due to batsmen whacking their bats in that area. When his foot hit the pitch it must have generated enough vibration to shake the bail off.

Not sure what caused the bail to drop, but I’m fairly certain the video ump reviewed it and gave them not out.
