@user-ku9nw7et1l
@user-ku9nw7et1l Ай бұрын
@@amysand5400eh, whether it's intense or not is different for everyone. It's not that Shane doesn't realize it's intense, it's just not intense for him. It's not intense for me either. If I hear a song I like l, I listen to more music from that artists, if I like even more of their songs, I'm likely to then listen to everything they have made. Just to clarify I'm not trying to Dog on you for thinking it's intense. Just saying not everyone feels that way

@@amysand5400 listening to everything someone put out should be pretty standard when youre having someone on your show especially in anything mildly interview-format
@Steve-xo5pq
@Steve-xo5pq Ай бұрын
@@amysand5400 I guess in some contexts it might be considered intense... I mean considering most sings are pretty short and even longer music is usually like ~5 min. If you are just sitting listening to music anyway, that's petty easy to do. Shayne could probably bang out the entire discography of most artists during a single workout session (with lifting people sessions are usually 30 min to an hour. Can be longer with cardio, depends on the person and what their goals are) I see your point its just I'm struggling to think of a situation in which that might be considered "intense." I can think of way more situations where it would just make sense to do in this context.

I think being used to being interviewed by people who don't even have a clue who you are and are only interviewing you to stay relevant with a young audience. Someone taking the job seriously and listening to your entire catalog and wanting to talk about their favourites must be hugely appreciated.

1:03:01 Yeah. Authors who do that are generally referred to as "Gardeners". Stephen King is the prime example. When they get an idea they immediately cultivate it by letting it come out on the paper as it comes to mind. The other end of the spectrum are "Architects". Ironically, Sanderson is the prime example here. They plan and structure an outline and then write it out after making sure everything is laid out.

Really one of the most interesting episodes to date. I loved the conversation about the creative process. I think bbno$'s discussion about the release schedule was very interesting. He said "10 songs a year", I feel like that is such a good cadence for writing music (once you have your whole writing/composing/production flow figured out). That gives you about a month per song, I think that's very doable, even for inexperienced musicians. Also having the deadline is a really good way to help with writer's block, what often happens is, you keep wanting to add more or change more things about a song and you go in circles. The deadline means you can't just endlessly keep working on a single song, you have to move on to another one. Not everything is going to be a masterpiece, especially early on in your career.

I'm extremely online and has been for over a decade. Only found out about him from smosh. I think it's partially also a generational thing and what kind of social media you use. I don't use tiktok, I don't play fortnight. I might have heard the big songs but probably not. The internet is so big nowdays.

yeah, as someone who's chronically online to the point of being a borderline neet (jobless and barely leave my house lel), i had no idea who he was until very recently and only found out abt him because of smosh. im not saying he isnt a big artist, but the reply above is right in that the internet is just way too big now. even harambe wouldnt be as big now as it was back then

With how big the internet is? Not surprising tbh, he was a lot more underground until tiktok and youtube shorts (he was growing insanely well before that still, but man those took over the scene for advertising as an artist for sure) The amount of times I see someone MASSIVE (like 40m plus subscriber youtubers) who I'm like "who the fuck is this?" Is wild, let alone that.

One reason why you might feel that video games “drain your creativity” is because creating requires lots of decisions and some studies show that we only get so many decisions a day. Videogames are fun because they are constantly making small decisions, usually with immediate payoff. It might be possible to do both if you create first after sleep, then play games. Just some advice for BBno$ he’s definitely not gonna read.
