I hate to ask but nobody ever tells you, was it a 4lbs pork shoulder or a 7lbs pork shoulder? Bone-in or no bone?? When you said add a little oil was it olive oil, veg oil, canola oil, avocado oil??? Please be more specific!

Good questions. I used a small "bone in" pork shoulder. However, I found the "boneless" to work better. More meat and is more tender. For the oil, I used Canola Oil. Works just as good and cost less.
