I worked at a large company handling their TV/digital/integration ads and we had a brief and disastrous relationship with BBTV. Not a joke! We mainly advertised on TV, but went through BBTV to test campaigns on podcasts/with influencers and personalities. It was a small run of $250k, but we wrote it off as a huge loss. Their reporting was inept and their communication was shockingly poor and inconsistent. I forgot they even existed until now. Not surprised about this behavior. And their invoices were bizarrely informal. “Just pay online”. Nothing itemized for what money was allocated to what podcast so we could track impressions or success. We swore we’d never touch them again.

"No, we didn't steal from you, you are actually committing a crime by saying we did, publicly. So take it back right now, or WE will sue YOU." Criminal charges.

coming back to this even after BBTV agreed to pay them back, they should still 100% do this. its kind if sketchy how fast BBTV flipped, which to me means one of three things: 1. they want to avoid a class action lawsuit, legal fees, fraud investigations, as well as paying back the smaller creators involved in this situation (which with how many creators they have, it adds up) - which is understandable but still not right 2. in BBTV’s own forensic investigation they found more money that was taken, accidentally or not, and decided to just pay ethan what he wanted to avoid H3’s lawyer’s doing their own investigation 3. literal fraud (allegedly in my opinion)
