BCB Crusader 2 Cup

What was the point of making the bottom of MK2 cup uneven? Have you ever seen a cup or cooking pot with anything but a straight bottom?!? Such an uneven bottom will make it very difficult to clean. Very unpractical. Otherwise, I'd say it's almost a perfect bit of kit.

I think I missed the bit where a second fuel block is added. I tried to reproduce this result with the same kit, but no chance. However, using the new fire dragon stove and one fuel block, with the same cup as above and a windshield, no problem. In fact I could have increased the water to 700 ml and probably would have boiled. So, new design folding Fire Dragon stove, the cup as above, one fuel block. Cup handles on the same side as the stove windshield, using a thick aluminium foil windshield around the whole thing (keeps the flames close to the cup) and we are good to go. It is lightweight, cheap enough and works when raining. Great for lightweight hiking for sure.

That would be good. I have BCB set but I would prefer all stainless in stead of plastic/aluminium or all raw titanium with no any coating.

@@donpindol778 hi there, that was the mk1 crusader set, you can get them all in stainless (not the osprey water bottle) u can get the coated or un coated steel version. I think they still make both.

@@adamrussell1997 design seems to be successful, pitty we don't see continuation of this and kit stay the same. I'm using stainless steel uncoated MK1 mug, with black coated aluminium MK2 stove and Trangia burner. I also have hand made uncoated aluminium lid. Only thing is missing here is Ospray SS or Ti version of their nut like bottle. Storing drinking water for long time in plastic make it smell. I get rid of most of that smell by storing spirit vinegar first. I would like to see Helikon-Tex Essential Kitbag version for it as well.
