Thank You! Any information when you have BCBS, Medicare and Tricare for Life?
@TheMoneyBriefing
@TheMoneyBriefing 3 күн бұрын
If you're retired and have all three, Medicare will be primary, followed by BCBS, then Tricare for Life (TFL). Oftentimes, if you have TFL, you may be able to suspend BCBS and still have comprehensive coverage with very little to no out-of-pocket costs. Here is a video I did a couple of years ago on the topic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5rLhpSJo7Cmh7s

Retirees should not have to pay that amount. Health care is out of this world.😢

I agree with you 100% if , retired premiums should be lower because medicare pays most of their doctors bills.

I have standard....do i also have plan C... prescriptions. What else is covered with plan C
@TheMoneyBriefing
@TheMoneyBriefing Ай бұрын
Part C is also known as a Medicare Advantage plan. It bundles together Parts A & B, and usually Part D for prescriptions. Most federal employees do not have Part C. Instead, they typically have Parts A & B only. Your prescriptions will be covered under your BCBS Standard plan when you have both Medicare and BCBS.

Also can I get Advantage Plus BCBS if I have Medicare part A and B
@TheMoneyBriefing
@TheMoneyBriefing 3 күн бұрын
BCBS currently doesn't have an Advantage option in the FEHB program, and you can't combine BCBS with another Advantage plan.

I'm 72, have BC Standard self +1 and Medicare A/B & live in an area with lots of providers. I have health issues and take several meds. My wife is much younger and is pretty healthy. Which is better for us, standard or basic?
@TheMoneyBriefing
@TheMoneyBriefing 14 күн бұрын
You should check if Basic covers all your prescriptions. If it does and if you see all in-network providers, Basic would be a more affordable option with a similar level of care.

@TheMoneyBriefing

There are certain disabilities and medical conditions that qualify for Medicare before age 65. You can reach out to SSA/Medicare to see if your condition qualifies.

Do I really need Medicare part B ---if I have BCBS basic
@TheMoneyBriefing
@TheMoneyBriefing 15 күн бұрын
It depends on your health, financial situation, and personal preference. About 70% of federal employees enroll in Part B.

If you are healthy you don’t need it. It is ridiculous pay a lot in heath insurances for only 1 or 2 medical appointments
