BCN Wolverhampton level | exploring the black country

I explore BCN mainline to Wolverhampton in this episode looking at history , interesting things and cinematics . I make my way to coseley to get to the Wolverhampton level covering history of coseley tunnel , BCN mainline and more .
I find during this video towards end an abandoned interchange for the canal which is very interesting.

I haven't explored Wolverhampton fully yet on a list to do but I can imagine it's bad for empty buildings the canal is a nice part tho

The picture of the man with the beard and boat was taken in the 70s, he's called Donald Payne and very much still alive. Lives next door to me

After a difficult 12 hr shift at work, which ended up being 14 hrs 😱, this was a much needed chill out video Drew. Never walked any of the canal further than Tipton so this was a delight to watch. Thanks for your hard work in the making and editing of these lovely videos 🙂

Thanks Helen wow 14 hours bet you was shattered I'm in today glad only 4 hours tbh . That canal route was actually cool I might try go further next time down there I think it terminates at aldersley junction turn left will take to Stourbridge canal

Another fab video! As someone with a passion for canals, industry and derelict buildings, this one had it all. Loved seeing that chimney pumping out smoke, it looked like something from a Trevor Grimshaw drawing. But the last few minutes had me drooling! Think I'm gonna have to take me a trip to W'ton the weekend and take a few photos of that derelict Victorian factory building. But such a great video!

Thank you for a great video, along side the old photos and music, fascinating. Any chance of a part 2 of the Wolverhampton canal system? What was of particular interest to me was that my great uncle Samuel was a canal boatman in 1911, he and his wife Isabella lived at 2 Canal Side Monmore Green, Wolverhampton. In 1912 their son Joseph accidentally fell in the canal and was drowned near Ash Place Monmore Green Wolverhampton, is this anywhere near where you were filming? Sadly Samuel was killed in WW1 in 1914 in the first battle of Ypres. Anyway thanks again for a very interesting and fascinating canal walk/ride.

There's gonna be a part 2 sometime in 2023 as I'll be covering more this area . Thanks for reply looking forward to going to more new stuff , bus and walk there might be best I'll look up some this information you gave me and I'll mention some of this when I do it
