You need to do that race competition again with Brian, you, Jordan, the Loam Ranger and add Seth, Phil and Alex. That would be beyond an epic and fun watch.

Such a fun trail. I honestly think I like it more than Downieville. Funny you remembered it smooth. I went up there with my short travel bike because people said it was pedally. I think the bigger bike does way better on the constant chatter from all the baby heads.

Brian, Mills Peak you have to climb first, so much better when you “Earn the Turns”. And you go up to the Look out and check things out (Rest up😁) before the downhill. Loved the Video, keep it up! Give a shoot out to Graeagle, Cool town and SBTS.

Awesome ride! Thanks for sharing. At the speed and the amounts of rocks you go by, full face helmet like the new Gambit from specialized would not be a bad idea. Scary how fast you guys went on a trail your are not familiar with. At any rate, it was really nice. Build the cabins so we can rent them out !

Yeah short travel has gotten so good the big suspension bombs are only needed for that off the edge locations . A hardtail and or a short travel bike will progress your skills . Hardtail will up the risk factor . Eric made a good point that flats can be a bit more confidence building for jumps as in your mind you have a better bail out button . The short travel bikes will turn you into a beast on technical climbs

It went together easily in less than an hour. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
