This is a great machine in the right application but I have a love/hate relationship with it. I debated a long time whether or not to purchase it and farm with it. I hope this helps you make a decision. WinnowingItalia.com

Thanks for this... I'm weighing up getting one of these vs an old kubota 'big boy' tractor. My land is terraced and I have a lot of trees so I think the BCS will be able to access much more of the land. But yea these decisions are not easy so I appreciate the straight talk.

Hi there! These new bcs machines are great! How would they compare to the older bcs, goldoni, pasquali etc.. quality? The older ones weigh alot more, are they made better then these new ones?

Very interesting. Thanks for posting. One thing I'm not sure about - does it have a two-stage clutch or the equivalent so that you can disengage the wheel drive while still running the implement. It's a feature on my Massey Ferguson 35x that I use a lot when toppering/mowing in heavy stuff that allows me to briefly reduce/stop forward speed to let the implement clear a particularly heavy patch. Since a big reason for wanting a machine like this is to use the flail mower to bash down heavy brambles etc in places where the 35x is just too big to get to and I think I would miss being able to use the same technique. Thanks.

Having bought one and used it for a while I can now answer my own question. The machine does not have a two-stage clutch so pulling the clutch in disconnects the drive to both the wheels and the implement. However, I have found that the forward/reverse control has a neutral in the middle of its travel with a stop that allows you to find that neutral very quickly. So, I pull the clutch in very briefly and pop the forward/reverse into neutral and release the clutch. This allows the implement to clear the heavy material without the machine moving forward. Pulling the clutch in briefly allows you to re-engage the forward/reverse clutch and proceed. All in all, a very acceptable work-around. As you say, coming from a full-size tractor it feels quite slow to, say, mow an area. However, it can get into places you just can't get even a compact tractor and in those situations (where hand tools would be the only alternative) it is great.
