BCSC & DAAAS 55th Anniversary Celebration

The Joint 55th Anniversary Celebration of the Black Community Services Center (BCSC) and the Department of African & African American Studies (DAAAS) took place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University and featured a selection of special guest speakers.
The celebration theme was "Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Thinking Toward the Future." for BCSC and DAAAS. The purpose of the celebration was to mark an important milestone in Stanford's history for the Black and AAAS community. This year also marks the departmentalization of African and African American Studies, also included in the celebration. The event was attended by over 150 Stanford faculty, students, staff, alums, and well-wishers.
