The music is by Jose Feliciano, from the "Moulin Rouge" soundtrack. I think it was intended to be more alternative than authentic. The other dances from this event are much more Argentine. :)

I don't get why people are so concerned with the music and that last bit with the feet being in the last shot of the dance. The focus should be on Miriam and Leonardo's amazing technique and dance. I personally almost jumped out of my seat when Leonardo dropped Miriam from his shoulders and her face was literally an inch of the floor. I believe that these dancers are in a league of their own and. despite having the wayward feet in the last shot, Miriam's slide and pose was exquisite to behold. What a beautiful couple, a beautiful partnership, and a beautiful dance!!!

This was a less sophisticated version of the adagio part she did when she danced with Forever Tango, including the famous "throw across the floor" part at the end(except that when she did with FT she finished by a gigantic bandoneon and not by somebody's feet )

@903juli ..you're so sweet...i have many critiques but i better not bother haha! BUT i have to say, if i was at all involved with this show, if i saw anybody stretching their feet onto the edge of the dance floor i would've politely ask them to move them..instead, at least THIS footage is professionally ruined by the feet right plopped on the floor, appearing in the last shot, and quickly retrieved,UGGGH the music,that tango,i guess by the druggies Gotan Project,SUCKS so bad what a mess

so i will..i am not a purist of tango, i do like the big hit of Gotan Project, was it Santa Maria De Los Buenos Aires or Milonga De Amor whatever was called..but this farce of a tango is like a sound-nightmare,while they are SO over-killed in their expression,it really goes overboard.place should b dark.the drama is out of place in a school auditorium type-stage lighting,and her clothes are ridiculous & ill-fitting when she bends her knees..he's impersonating Sandor way too much but she's GREAT!
