I had to order pommel nuts. I’m really looking forward to getting the last one put back together. It’s the shiniest blade so far.

Sounds & looks like you had a good Saturday in your shop, doing what you enjoy doing. Good!! Hope that continues through today. God Bless. Godspeed.

Had another nice day in the shop today, and I even managed to mow the yard.

You do realize that the restorations look very nice, you brought them back to life. What a great memory and how many people can say they partied with them. Have a blessed day and stay safe!

Love your videos so far!!! have not subscribed, I am very selective with the brains online!!! I once with my older brother watched Chicago, the back up band was the Pointer Sisters doing copy material? They were booed off stage, and we know where they aspired to when they sang their own material many years later!!! Have to go now, a 67 Earth Years single father of a 17 year old son.

90% of my videos are about knife making. The other 10% are of my 70 year old wife and I riding our motorcycles.

When I was stationed in San Diego back in 89, my buddies and I would go to Tijuana for cheap drinks. We were at a bar called Iguana's and heard an unknown band called Red Hot Chili Peppers 😄

i have seen people use the pommel to hammer tent stakes around camp (but then too when the sheath goes south i tend to throw them in a tool box )

How about using a brass pipe fitting/plug for the pommel nut ?
@bctruck5 ай бұрын
I would do that if I knew what thread the tang is. I’m sure since it’s made in Germany that its metric.

Don’t go “pommel nuts” . It’s Saturday. That junk blade might be worth keeping to use as a scraper for nasty jobs.
@bctruck5 ай бұрын
I had already sanded it paper thin. There wasn’t enough blade left to use.

@chopsddy3 today, I was thinking of starting a band with nothing but fat guys. I’d call the band Fleetwood Mac and cheese. Or OB/CD.

I've seen youtubers that restored knives that where in worse shape than the one you gave up on. I agree, what's the point in that? So they removed all the corrosion of a relic, then what? It was never going to be the knife it once was and now it's just a shell of its former self.
@bctruck5 ай бұрын
It would have qualified as a razor blade if I kept sanding until all the pits were gone.
