How to fix a craftsman table saw. This was a multi part video that I re-uploaded. I repair my old craftsman table saw. worked great but I traded it for a truck tool box and then bought a new Dewalt table saw.
I am an amazon affiliate , Shopping through my link doesn't cost you a thing, but I get a small fee when you do. Thanks! amzn.to/2VKQjIV

This was the exact problem my saw had too. Replaced the bearing and I'm back up running. Thanks for the video

My 137 series saw just locked up last night... in the same position as you were, i have nothing to lose so I might as well try and rebuild it. I like these models of saws so I hope i can get it right. I used mine every day until it broke! Thanks for the tutorial, I'll take a shot at it!

This is obviously a very common problem for these saws - several noted here - plus mine. Mine was quiet but sent sparks out of the vent slots on the end of the motor and tripped my afci outlet. I found the same suggestions for fix that you did: cut the bearing or pry it apart with a screwdriver, freeze the armature, AND put the new bearing in a waterproof plastic bag and put it in boiling water. (I also saw somebody use a torch to heat the new bearing, but . . . The KZbinr I watched was able then to let his new bearing slide on the shaft with only a light tap or two. I found bearings by size (6200Z or ZZ) all over ebay. (I had one in 2 days for $4.98). Really wish I had known to go to Fastenal.

Glad it worked out that you could save that saw! Always better to try to fix something rather than just tossing it out. If you can't fix it, you can throw the parts you don't want out and keep the rest for some other purposes. That is how I became a Grand Poobah top notch Hoarder.I don't have a bunch of junk, I have inventory!

Same here. Mine just sounded like I was dragging a concrete block behind a truck. Gave away a nicer saw, thinking this small one would allow some extra elbow room, and now I’m back to my trusted Makita circular saw.

Maybe try a small 3 jaw puller on the old bearing instead of using the dremel to cut it off. The dimple at the end of the shaft is for the puller center post point.

@@bctruck update, it is the same problem but it also cracked both brushes so I'll be replacing those as well as the rear bearing. I don't have a dremel so I'm hunting down a bearing puller. One of my friends has to have one. The one I have is for bigger bearings and won't fit into the space between the bearing and the ceramic holding the brush contacts.

Hi all, Where can the bush be purchased? I've replaced the bearing, but the bush was shredded. It looks like a very standardised part but all the links I've found to the part number say not available. Thanks

So the enteral fan blade separated into several pieces on mine and then the motor is tripping the reset almost instantly. Checked my brushes as well and they seem fine. Can the fan part be bought and where. I plan to replace bearings as well and brushes even though they seem fine. There is a rumble vibration when turned on before it trips the breaker.

I discovered a problem yesterday with my 113.298030 Craftsman table saw when I tried to tilt the blade to cut a 45 degree. Beyond 10 degrees it got increasingly hard to turn the wheel. I did everything I could to get it freed up to no avail....could only get to 20 degrees. Brushed the screw rod, lubed it everywhere I could. Don't know why it's so hard to turn...do you have any ideas short of dismantling the saw???
