Neat as a pin! And they made it look so easy...When my Mom and Dad had theirs delivered to their lake property about 30 years ago, those guys managed to back it in between trees from a nearly 45 degree turn, and get it positioned parallel to the cliff. Was just in awe of how they managed to do that without cutting a lot of trees. Your delivery guys did a great, professional job, and my hat's off to them!

Amazing the advancements that have been made since ours was delivered in 1985. Had a pad like yours minus the concrete. All the work of getting the two haves in place was done by the tractor drivers. Was fascinating to watch the drivers jockey those halves in place. Still have the photo album (no video for us back then - didn't have a "movie" camera.) You're going to enjoy watching them over the next 3 days or so. Both inside and outside as they connect the "marriage wall" and all that entails. (Electrical, plumbing, siding, roof ridge, etc.) Probably even more so today, than it was back then. Enjoy my friend. For a lot of us, it's a once in a lifetime experience. Our's came in in July. Sat in lawn chairs, in the shade, and played sidewalk superintendent. :-)

Wishing you the best in your new home. I can't wait to see it! My dad worked for Iseman mobile homes for years. He would haul them, set them up and rehab the repos so they could be resold. He used to drive the giant "toter" no other specialty vehicles. I learned a lot about mobile homes and hard work from him. My mom still lives in the 1976 double-wide they bought and dad improved over the years. My ex and I had a brand new 1997 Clayton for a time in the same trailer court my mom still lives.

Interesting layout for the foundation. I am not sure where this video was captured but it looked as though there is some red Georgia clay. I like the simple concept of the rows of concrete vs an entire concrete slab. I have a 8x16 tiny home to be delivered to my property in north Florida and the soil base is quite sandy. Therefore, I am thinking about getting some caliche base or some compacting gravel and build some rows of concrete as you have.
