@Yes I would!! Listen. I don't like today's hip-hop music or crossover music. But, You have to understand when arranging other music in radios you have to consider the fact that you can't emulate very part of the song but at least come close to the conceptual part of the music. I've just listened to the acutal clip and by far, they (BCU) came very close to it.

Just because no one is blurring over the band playing whatever note comes to mind doesn't make this sound bad. I will admit that Cookman plays their arrangements on the softer side though :-). It's all good Pride, see you at the Florida Classic battle of the bands and game.

I don't know about "a lost" on their (BCU) behalf, but again hip-hop/crossover music can't be imitated as much because of use of auto-tuning, sampling, and other special music effects that are in genre. So, bottomine, they came very close playing that song. And you're talking about one of the best arrangers in HBCU bands in history.

@slmaniac, bruh i dunno what ur talking about when u say that the arrangement sucks. By listening to the actual music clip the arranger is 98% on accurate on arranging the version. So i need u to listen to it very carefully and consider the fact that is acoustical instrument arranging, in lame terms (live band playing) versus digital sequencing track music. Trust me, I'm a music tech graduate!!

im a bcu fan,nd this arrangement doesnt suck,the trumpet part just should be better,but the bassline sounds good but the trumpet part cld be better

@MrPhantom2010 The problem is maybe someone should change someting about BCU arrangements. It is sad whenever they play a song it takes you almost half the song to even recognize what the hell they are playing. They do have a nice sound but what is the point of having a nice sound when the songs are unrecognizable.

@Honerable.....I saw the video. There were no enthusiam in NSU's performance either. As far as sound, balance and blend. Don't forget crowd participation BCU gave them a run for their money.

@doronphillips Let me help you out when arranging a song I know it is one thing to put your own flare to it to make it yours. However, when you take the song out of context to the point where you can barely recognize it I consider that a SUCKY arrangement. I mean seriously if you were blind and someone just played this song there is no way you can tell me that you could recognize the name of this song. BCC has a habit of doing just that with most their arrangements.

Arrangements sucks... sorry to say... MUSICALITY of it is good (if thats good grammar).. or maybe it sounds good cuz thats BCC and they known for that. Either way, the true essence of what the producer of that song had in mind was LOST. That means you as a composer... DIDNT DO YOUR JOB.
