Hi. I was 18 years old. In summer 1982 I flew in a Canadian CF-101 of 425 Alouette squadron in CFB Bagotville, Saguenay region, Québec, Canada. I did this flight on navigator back seat because I did glider pilot and private pilot licence with Canadian Air Cadets... I couldn't actually fly the plane because I had no command on back seat... But it was a great experience.

Great video ! I will take it into consideration the next time I take an F-101 Voodoo out for a flight.

I knew a gentlemen who flew the Voodoo for the Virginia Air National Guard in his younger days. He said, other than for the pitch-up problem, it was a fine aircraft. I remember he mentioned that it flew very well on (1) engine.

Cool contrail towards the end. Love the !8,000' altitude loss from pitch up stall at 40,000' What a fricking beast.

At high angles of attack, at some point the main wing shunts the air flow to the T tail. F-104 suffered similar, as did several early MIGs.

Changing a. Primary hydraulic pump was a difficult maneuver too.

Every time I see a T-Tail aircraft, that little voice inside screams "AHHHHHH................DEEP STALL..............DEEP STALL"

That classic McDonnell empennage.

Whats empennage? The tail?
@cowboybob70934 жыл бұрын
@@intercommerce Empennage, also known as the tail or tail assembly, is a structure at the rear of an aircraft that provides stability during flight, in a way similar to the feathers on an arrow. The term derives from the French language word empenner which means "to feather an arrow". Nice photo: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empennage It's important to ask.

Quite counter instinctive instructions, must have caught many out.

Think I can see why the military changed their training philosophy about when to eject. Films from the seventies on seem much more pro ejection than staying with it. Seems like sound advise.

Sounds sketchy , sounds almost impossible but I'm not pilot ✈️

In my opinion, rather poor sound here, too. Sorry.

Push the stick forward and maintain negative rudder and ailerons, that might help
@bobwilson7582 жыл бұрын
