When Wayne first had us try out this new tuning sequence, there were some grumbles, mostly from the vets. But it was definitely the right call.

This doesn’t sound that powerful to me. I can understand the case for 2 valve G’s being louder, but not 3’s.

@@declandougan7243 The corps is facing back field. The recording was taken from the middle of the stands from a personal camcorder. And lastly the number of values in no way diminished the projection of sound .

@@scoutsaj1 Hmm. Then why, when comparing the volume from the official 2001 dvd, which took place in the same stadium, does it not seem to matter which tuning is used, and brass line placement is a much better predictor of volume, and only the Cadets regularly peak the mics?
@scoutsaj12 жыл бұрын
@@declandougan7243 again this was recorded from a camcorder, that means the sound was recorded was from a camcorder and not recorded by the on field microphones. This warm up was not on the 95 DVD, nor the CD thus it doesn't have the same sound quality nor volume.

Any of these "new school" folks that say that Bb/F band horns are better than G bugles have OBVIOUSLY never stood in front of a BD horn line pre band horn era..... G Bugles will MELT YOUR FACE!!!!!
