One of the other PCs suggested our characters play a questions game called, "What's that about?" Where we all rolled a d20, the highest roller got to ask the lowest roller a question and they could take a drink to avoid the question entirely. That was great to get backstories out in character and the player who suggested the game kept suggesting, "You could ask my character about this or my shield." So when my character asked, "Your shield, what's that about?" they took a drink and moved on from the question. WHich left me and the other player like, "OOOOoooooohhhhhh, you got secrets????" (Their character has a lot of secrets.)

isn't that the same thing Critical Role did with their "the fucks up with that?"

@22Reddman probably. The player made their character from one of the critical role characters that they wanted to play. I've not watched it, so wouldn't know.

I’m going to join a campaign for the first time and this is really helpful to learn things I should and shouldn’t do. Videos like this help me learn and prepare for how I want to portray my character.

Honestly thought this was a bigger channel from the quality here. Keep up the great work. Great advice here too.

What? I didn't even think about anything but following the shadow. It's the last thing described, so it's easily the focus of the scene
