Find a purpose for your life, something impossible. Then, take action. Begin to move towards that purpose, that dream. Keep it a secret, it is precious and delicate, if the world finds out what it is, it will be destroyed forever. You must protect it from the world. Only when you have achieved your goal will the world know of it. Once you have your mission, you can walk through hell itself with a smile. You will persevere, overcome, and enjoy every moment of your life. Every day find something to be grateful for, this world is a paradise if you have the ability to see it. The “how” will be revealed as you take action. You will be taught many lessons, some will call them failures but if you learn from them, you will be closer to your goal. After a long time, and many lessons, you will finally be have the “how” figured out. Then all you must do is reach out and grab what you want with ease. God is with you, it supports you on your quest. Continue on with absolute faith in your own success and the gods will guide you through every hardship.

Untrue, there is plenty of hard data showing what actually causes happiness. Primarily it's social connection. There is such a massive community online that thinks discipline leads to happiness and contentment and it is only growing. If it was actually effective it would shrink because people would become happy enough to leave it. The commonality is that these people struggle with socialization someway and try to drown out their turmoil with these ideas of "masculinity" but it's not doing anything

I was no longer overly emotional like a child, I wouldn’t get tired, I wouldn’t get anxiety, I wouldn’t get depressed. My mind just knew rent had to be paid and errands had to get done. What are you going to study?
@j_edwards60756 ай бұрын
I'm the exact opposite. I had the opportunity straight out of high school to study and I did just that. I feel that is the biggest mistake I've made in my life so far. Although I can draw positives out of that situation, like moving out of home, adulting, starting afresh etc. My time studying didn't guarantee me any job opportunities and I became in debt through studying. No job I've worked since or ever will work in the future will pay back my debt. And all that time spent studying I could have been saving money for a house. Which I'm only just able to do now at 26, when I could have already owned my own place at 20. If I could talk to my younger self, it would be to drop out of high school as soon as possible and work full time. The first 20 years would be miserable paying off that home loan but I could enjoy an earlier retirement with more benefits.

For the first time in my life, something truly touches my heart. I tend to be very cold, quite asocial, and lack 'emotions' towards other people; I'm not saying this to play the 'sigma,' it's the truth. At 19 years old, despite being this way, I suffer every day from loneliness and the lack of friends. I cry because I had to abandon them and stopped talking to them in such a cruel way. They were an amazing group, with a unique and unparalleled sense of humor, but for me, it wasn't enough. I didn't choose any path and decided to go in the middle, thinking that this way my life would be easy..:

It's about realising you only have one life and you have to be accountable with your decision making. Start thinking on your own, take care of the people you're with, be grateful towards the good things in life, get yourself together and try to do something that you know will make you look back and feel satisfied and happy. Not giving in to the temptations around you. That is what it means to be an adult, that's what it means to be a good man.

Yeah! Be a man! Don't be a human, be the thing that society has deemed appropriate! Don't like your job? Be a man, do it for the rest of your life! Better not speak too much, be a man, become the stoic! Keep listening to these celebrities and retired men who essentially sit on their own thrones and tell you how to be a man.
