I would to see the AHL back in be a pro. Like if you’re struggling in the NHL, they send you down and if you’re dominating the AHL or the NHL team needs players because of injuries, you get called up. Also I hate that even if you’re picked in the 6th round, you start right away in the NHL. Makes more sense to start in the AHL.

I want a full season in CHL again, I want development in AHL, and I want to stop being called ‘rookie’ 20 years after I got drafted, that goes for when I win the cup, no I didn’t win it in my rookie season but that’s what the press says, and every time I sign a new contract it’s always my ELC every time even though I joined the NHL 20 years before. Fix it EA.

All i want is a realistic and challenging be a pro like you said tournament like world juniors, olympics and other small and you also talked abt playing seasons in chl or Europe there was actually that in all the nhl before 2021 dont know why they took it out than theres also the fact its way to easy to get things like playing in the first line as a 72 ovr 18 year old kid should be way harder to get that nhl spot also being the captain is weird u just have to play one season on the team and ur captain and finally a less important one would switching to europe at the end of ur career i never liked football/soccer but i still enjoy the fifa game better than the nhl game because of the career mode its way more realistic and not always the same thing every season they should inspire themselves with that and i would actually enjoy it

I like that you can improve your skills with "training" in NHL23. Gives it a somewhat realistic touch over i put 1 point in skill x. Maybe this cloud be improved, like have training-schedul for every week to maintain or improve your skills. No training cloud bring some stats down maybe. But realisically it does not generate money like HUT so if they think about this, it would be lower priority.

This is my favorite game mode and I hate it that they just decide to not make updates to the game. They release the same game year after year. Costing $100 for nothing different. At this point is it really worth it buying the new game?

We need to be able to buy whatever xfactors we want, if your a sniper and get a 30 goal season as a rookie, you should be able to buy close quarters or shnipe, same thing as a dman, if your a defensive dman you should be able to buy shutdown or something. and if your first overall you should be able to have xfactors at the start like a real number 1 overall. No one wants to play 10 seasons of the shitty game to unlock good xfactors

Day 15 of requesting a country spin wheel challenge. Including all countries who have nhl players. Meaning you spin the wheel and then it lands on a country that has an NHL player. I have said for years what I would love out of a Be A Pro mode is just that a Be A Pro mode not the generic Be A Superstar with zero effort. I should be allowed to be a career fourth liner or not be drafted and have to play in the ECHL or AHL and maybe work towards a PTO etc There are hundreds of different ways a persons professional career can go and would be awesome and re playable to have at least some of those options.

1.) Add the ability to play full seasons in the CHL, Europe and the AHL again. I shouldn’t be a 68-70 overall player playing in the NHL. 2.) Make it so you don’t have to choose a secondary position. Often times this means if you want to be a center, you have to play 3+ full seasons on the wing before you can even play your primary position. 3.) Fix the roster glitch for starting in the CHL/Europe. I should be able to use custom rosters when starting in the CHL/Europe just like it is when you start in the NHL. No clue why this glitch is still a thing. 4.) Lessen the amount of cutscenes or remove them entirely. If I want to sim a few weeks I shouldn’t be bombarded with 20 cutscenes and forced promises that stop the simulation. 5.) Add replay value. When one season ends, I should feel excited/motivated to start the next one instead of bored. This game mode could be so much more if they even attempted to make it like MyCareer on 2K instead of repeating the same garbage every year.

Oh man on the money! I completely forgot about nhl14 what a be a pro mode! And yeah why on earth all those pointless conversations with the coach and then players to make you get a goal or assist. I agree with majority of what you said, but the story aspect. I don't want a character named MP or have a pre determined name. EA NHL had a pretty good be a pro back in the day and didn't need a story mode for it. But I miss being able to start my career in the CHL not just playing in the memorial cup, I miss being sent down to the AHL when doing bad, or just being a late round draft pick. I also wish they would have equipment sponsors. Oh I also don't want them to go the NBA 2K route I hate how you have to have a online connection just to play single player now for the Mycareer mode that is just stupid.

Wow. I forgot how cool the older versions were. With these new games I hate the fact that I don’t really have to earn a spot on the big team’s roster. Like others are saying, let me earn my way at the AHL or even ECHL level. And the coach conversations are beyond stupid and a waste of time. I just had a situation where I had a six point night. I’m not that good but everything was clicking. We kind of struggled as team the next game so I didn’t do too much. The very next game the coach is letting me know that I need to prove myself on offense. Btw, and I’m not flexing as I’m an average player at best, but I lead the league in assists and have almost forty goals and we’re not done yet. Dude, get off my back!
