Getting the goalie off the post when you’re down low in the zone was the most helpful tip i got out of this. I can’t do it as efficiently as the video, but im getting it now. I’ve been watching this channel for about two years now and the tips have really helped my game. Im not that good online but I play all star-superstar in sb and win for the most part

Just wanted to note that for the corner snipe you really want to get the goalie into the 1-knee stance shown in the clip at @1:35. If the goalie is in any other stance this shot has a much lower percent chance of going in. You might know that already, but you didn't specifically state it in the video, and you actually showed a clip of Jack Hughes hitting a beauty snipe when the goalie was in the stand up stance (clearly possible, just a much more precise shot).

The only problem I have is that the shot lane is always clogged so most one-timers get blocked. On the breakaways, I will be 2-3 steps ahead try and do a move but the defense always knocks enough to mess it up. I'll practice some of these, but given you used the best player for that corner shot, will it also work with a lower rated player?

How do you get the corner shot against cpu? It rides you soon as you enter the zone on pro difficulty and above. If you go to the boards it will pin you before you can cut back. Thanks.

Anyone else have issues releasing the shot compared to last year? Sometimes when I’m skating in from the side and cutting into the slot to shoot far side, I’ll flick the stick up to shoot it, and my player doesn’t shoot. He just keeps holding it

Only glitch goal is really see is the first one, breakaways and one times are just hockey. Also I'd say there is other ones like five hole breakaway which is pretty much auto

These are great examples of how to score... if user controls top 5% of overall players with top 5% speed.... McDavid, eichel... rest of your influencer funded Hut Team... don't forget your top line of forwards plays 20 minutes in real life (aka 1 period) you're way better off learning fundamentals of getting the puck down low and protecting it since that's 2/3rds of your actual strategy... Second best tip for scoring is learning effective dumps and honing up your forecheck til it's lights out. Turnovers in their zone lead to more goals than breakaways any day

I prefer playing in broadcast view which kinda gives me the realistic feel... But I've tried so hard to aim for different corners and still no luck... On average I only get to score 1-2 goals per game out of 40+ shots

When RS left or right before slap shot, move LS stick to aim, than down RS for slap. You have 0,5-1 seconds for that on PRO level

Has there been a path to stop the corner goal? Seriously, I'm using EP to shoot against DeSmith, currently I'm 2-20. The green light comes on top right corner, but DeSmith has stopped it almost every time in Semi-Pro. Also don't get too comfortable with your favorite way of scoring in Rookie, I use Crash the Net. In Rookie I was scoring 7-10 goals per game, mostly on rebounds and far side shots, in Semi-Pro, my goalie is the only one who gives up rebounds and the far side shots now almost all go wide or get saved. When the opposition goalie gives up a rebound, either my guy cant handle it, or the defender gets it first. I'm lucky when I score 3 in a game with 35-40 shots, and the computer will score 4 on 9 shots. Sick of this stupid game.

This year they completely changed a lot of the game. I recommend going into a training mode under team practice. Dude 5 offense players and 0 defensive players. Play around for awhile with just your players and add defensive players as you want to start challenging yourself

@TwoManAdvantage it definitely helped with the Gretzky. However, I can't beat the Howe 6 goal to save my life. I seem to be stuck in a loop. I always seem to score 2 goals right away, and then they just shut down everything I'm trying to do. The team is dog shit and the the only guys I can score with are the Howes. That is unless I get a garbage goal. Maybe you can try it and see what works. I've played it so many times and it's always the same result. 3 or 4 goals tops.

Looks like they dialed down the goalie difficulty from last years game, much needed in my opinion. Last year it was impossible to score from shots and one timers, the only way to score was rebounds and breakaways. Very unrealistic, glad they fixed it
