As a motorcyclist, ie a 2-wheeled road user WITH TRAINING to pass a certain level via testing, I was trained to NEVER put myself in such stupid position. Just because you CAN fit in a certain place, doesn't mean you SHOULD

The rules for cyclists and motorcyclists are different. The Highway Code says 'Cyclists [unlike you motorcyclists] may pass slower moving or stationary traffic on their right or left and should proceed with caution as the driver may not be able to see you.' I could hear the bleeping sound indicating the pedestrians had a green signal so I knew the traffic was not going to move. My speed was also low.

If you're going to pass vehicles with such a small space available to you, I hope you have insurance.

Interesting, if a little arrogant. Do you think that the plethora of motorists you seem to fall out with on a near daily basis think the same thing?

@@bustestlucloc4630Bikes cause far less damage than cars, something you don't seem to understand. Should pedestrians have insurance then, as they can BE HIT by cars? Of course not. Should animals have insurance because they might be able to hurt people? Of course not. Think before commenting or you'll look stupid.

@@dylancode Your last sentence is highly ironic. That bicycles cause less damage than cars has never been up for debate, however, as you start on the subject I would point out that bicycles can and have killed numerous pedestrians. Your comment regarding pedestrians having insurance is nonsensical. The animal's owners are responsible for any harm their animals may cause. Many animals are insured. On the off-chance you have missed the point of my original comment, and have failed to read or understand my follow-up reply, allow me to clarify. The bicycle in the clip could easily damage the cars as it passed them and this could cost tens of thousands of pounds to repair. Is that clearer for you?

It's funny how cyclists can undertake a car through an eight inch gap, but insist on cars leaving them 6 feet when they want to pass on the correct side of the road.

Does the draft from a bike move a car. No does the draft from a bike cause a bike to get sucked into the car. Yes thier is your reason

This is an absolutely stupid comment. I assume you would have no problem walking closely past a parked lorry - if so, then I guess you shouldn't mind if it's driven past you at extreme closeness and speed! By the way, the left IS a correct side for cyclists to pass in this situation. 'Cyclists may pass slower moving or stationary traffic on their right or left and should proceed with caution as the driver may not be able to see you. Be careful about doing so, particularly on the approach to junctions'

Yeah because if we hit your car in that situation it's a light scratch..if you hit us were fucking dead. Use your brain mate.
