There are several luxury resort hotels in Grapevine Texas, in a nice neighborhood and there are massive roaches there, one of them is a Hilton, in fact one of the roaches spotted by someone I know is as big as my palm lengthwise... She called it the grandfather of all roaches, lol. I lived in a luxury expensive apartment a few years ago, in Richardson Texas, and there was a roach problem. An acquaintance of mine went to an expensive hotel on New York and there was a roaches and mice issue there! A friend of mine went to a Hilton hotel in Hawaii, and there were a couple large roaches there... So just FYI - it can happen anywhere unfortunately, even in the so-called 1st world country.... lol No offense just letting you know.

The beach gets extremely crowded, and those are the young folks that can't make it to Beach nos. 2, Tokeh Beach or Lakka beach. Those places are further into the Peninsula. There are plenty if other coastal areas with guest houses and hotels. Depends on your budget. Brookfields Hotel is okay. You may get a discount if not many people are staying there too. That's more inland though. Brace yourself for Freetown! It's going to be one hell of an adventure. It's part Wild West, part everything else. Don't say you haven't been warned😄.
