There are times when a private tutor is beneficial. However, you would lose the benefit of the classroom interaction. The social experience of learning.

Interesting video. I wonder if you look back at times on what you said a year ago, and see where you were, and compare it with where you are now. I've noticed that my perspectives change over time due to experience, and new knowledge. I found it revealing how poverty, and anonymity was such a issue for you that you seemed eager to avoid it. I can understand the reasons why you would feel that way. 7 Billion people of whom the majority live in China, and India. Many of whom will not have their names posted all over face book when they die the way that Robin Williams did. Many of them will live simple lives that affect their community... and I believe that that there is where we will see success, and richness in life. I met a woman from Africa who told me how she remembers her mother cooking supper over the fire in their hut. Her mother looked across the way to the other hut whose open window revealed that the older lady there wasn't preparing her stove. ( The windows were just open spaces to allow in air, no curtains, or panes.) The mother turned to her daughter and gave her some of the limited precious food that she was preparing instructing her to run it over to the widow knowing that the elderly woman had none. That little unknown moment of compassion affected her daughter deeply, and that story that she shared with me touched my heart a whole ocean away. I realized that our North American windows are closed.. so many times we can't see the need of others outside of our little world. We think that our success is when we have more, and better stuff.. so much stuff that we need places to store it. To me, that is temporary success.. real permanent success is what that mother did that day which inspired her daughter, and in turn, and in time affected me. I will not know the name of that woman, but I bless the lucky day that I met her daughter and learned of her.

Of course, my perspectives evolve every day. I have no qualms about ditching long-cherished beliefs and theories in light of new revelations. Nothing I believe is sacred.

Actualized.org Isn't that sort of what this video is also about? Being willing to be different which means letting go of what we think we need to think and embracing what we really think at that moment. :-)

supergroup7 Well... you can be different and still dogmatic as hell. This video is more about how to think outside the box and not follow the herd. Ideally you want both: independent thought and complete openmindedness.

Conformity kills imagination, or at the very least it can. My comment, however, is directed towards elevating the status of vanilla. I personally feel it is a very unique, expressive, and dynamic flavor that adapts well as a flavoring in a variety of creations. Just my opinion though.

He could of just woken up after sleep Benja. Our vocal cords tend to more loose during your partial hibernation. If we are not careful we will end up living the illusions that others have created for us.

I tried your approach of doing things differently and as a result did the worst compared to everyone else so what do I have to do to make sure that I do the best compared to everyone else and not make a fool of myself again
