I grew up in the Catholic Church, and I am so indebted to the Priests and Sunday school teachers etc etc etc, who planted very good seed into my young heart. I hated having to go to church while in my teens, but I am so 'so' glad I did not have a choice. I am going through some very serious trials at this season of my life, and I must have played this song about 20 times over the last day and a half. In this trying trial - it is my Catholic roots that I am running to, above the other worship songs I listen. Thank YOU Lord Jesus, You go before me always! Brother Simon I once lost my faith after a very troubling time but learned that it was this lost that made everything worse. When I had the sense to regain it I realized that no matter how bad it was I was able to continue. Even though my lost was great I continued and came out on top. God carries us in these desperate times, we just need to accept his help. I pray that you can solve your problems and never lose your faith as I did. Every time I hear this hymn, I think about those who have lost their lives in horrific ways, especially in the Middle East, just for being Christian. I think of those men kneeling, lined, all in a dessert, for their faith, waiting to die . That I could be as they are, that brave in facing life, as they were in death.
