I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mum from cancer in May 24...10 days before my birthday 2 days before mother's day. And my dad lost his partner 5 days following their 45th wedding anniversary. Grief is the hardest and most painful thing 💔 it's a minute at a time. I’m sitting by the bedside of my husband. We’ve been together 40 years. He is my love, my life. He had a heart attack 3 days ago. He was standing right next to me in our kitchen. I started CPR and my son was able to take over until EMS arrived. I begged with every ounce of my being for God to spare him and give me more time..to tell him how much I love him..my granddaughter and son and I, huddled together in prayer and one of the firemen bowed his head with us..they got a pulse and here we are, his brain function is 100 percent. Thank you Jesus. Never in my life was I so immediately filled with fear..and I immediately took it to Jesus. God is good and and the miracles are abundant. We are never together at that hour of the day..he had been to town, out on the ranch, fed the animals..etc. but, he was right there beside me..and my son who is never home was right there..Be not afraid…thank you for this gift of song..all of you. 🙏 ❤️ 🕊️

How beautiful, I have always loved this song! I was a practicing Catholic all my life, active in so many aspects of the parish, I found myself at church more than home. The one thing that I loved so much was choir and cantoring.. In 1993, I suffered a mental breakdown and still have been unable to handle any commitments where I have to be somewhere at a certain time. I am now 70 years old and hearing this song this morning, well, it touched my very soul. I felt like my grandmother, mother, father, aunts, all who have passed on, felt like they were reaching out to me to not be afraid.

Two years ago I listened to this song in the car before each radiation treatment. I listened to this beautiful song for 5 weeks. I have lost my father on Jan 2021 from a tragic accident which was my biggest nightmare and God was the only strength which kept me sane and moving forward one step at a time. It's a life changing event.... even in my father's Case....he fought off Cancer for six years.....did zoom Oct 2020 til Jan 2nd 2021 He passed Jan 6th a terrible day for other reasons.. Dad said goodbye..... ask myself and brothers to be sure Mom is okay.... but for me it's not okay..... My father was a brilliant business man.. I'm selfish...no longer can I call and ask him advice......

I do not think you are being selfish but realising his absence in every possible way. My father passed away from an accident which I pleaded God not to allow to happen to him as I lost my father figure school teacher from the exact the same kind of accident about 30 years ago. Life can be cruel but God is constant though it can take awhile to accept this. Today is Father's day where I am and you feel the absence ever more so acutely. Someone once said that grief is like the ocean and it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Still, it is surreal that I spent Father's day at his grave. But, one day, I will get to hug him again. That's what keeps me going. Hope you draw your strength from God to take one day at a time, too. God bless

Dear Dan, Although your thoughts are a very popular theology these days, I must reply to your theology. The Bible warns us not to be swayed by theology that caters to "itching ears". What does that mean? An easy, or popular theology. A theology that appeals to the masses even though it is not true. There is nothing easy about living in Christ in this day and age. It is only in "abiding" in His Holy Spirit, JOHN 15: first verse and onwards, that one can do so. The Bible also says that His way will NOT be popular. Check your theology against the word of God always in order to be correct!!!!!

This song was my rock, my mantra when I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 30- a million years ago. I would have it blaring as I went through scans, tests, and xrays and waited agonizing days to hear test results. I would have it blaring as I waited in the car pool line to pick up my daughter from kindergarten, or chase my 10 month old down to change his diaper. It was in my head as I prepared for and recovered from surgery. I would cling to it. I was overwhelmed with emotion and memories as I listened to it today through a Facebook post. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. My husband, Mark Ferreira, died this past Sunday after an eight year cancer battle. By the grace of God I was with him in the hospital. He suffered and offered up all for three days on his deathbed. I prayed, read scriptures and sang to him constantly. I was searching for the Song of Farewell. I know of three versions of it, the Old Hundreth, the Celtic and Ernest Sands. (I am not a musician hope I referred properly). I came upon this Do Not Be Afraid video and played it in the final hour of his arrival to eternity. His burial was yesterday and today I shared this video with my children. I noticed in the comments that people played this video at their loved ones burials. While praying in thanksgiving for you all and the beautiful gifts of music and blessing you exude, I thought I should ask if it would be possible to make a video of the Song of Farewell. In these unprecedented times, so many people are unable to celebrate the Rite if Christian Burial. Thanks be to God, we were blessed to have a private family Mass and Burial. I have shared this video link with many who love my husband. I would love to watch and share the Song of Farewell. For me, it is one of the most encouraging songs at the earthly loss of our beloved ones. Ever grateful.♡

Rose!!! ☺ Welcome Home!!! I was there 'with you'...What a vivid memory of that afternoon in Tempe. September 1987, 33 years ago....When St Pope John Paul II came onto the stadium's field in his open Pope-mobile...I could feel the power of the Holy Spirit go from one end of the stadium as he rode to the other side, it was beautiful, powerful and very holy. I was there with my parents, now my Dad will be 97 in October and Mom will be 95 in August. Could I be so bold to ask for y'all's prayers, please!?! My Dad was discharged from the hospital yesterday (after a 5 day UTI infection)...from there he has been admitted to an assisted living, small (4) group for men. He is continually falling...which has made it hard for my sister who is tending to our Mom who has been bedridden for the past 4-5 years. Please pray for healing, conversions, forgiveness, & renewed faith in Our Lord & His Sacraments. Thank you! ~!~ God bless us all!+++! And a big Thank You to these wonderful Catholic Artists who have helped us on our Journey & Pilgrimage of life, yesterday, today and tomorrow ☺...May God be glorified!

Keep the faith God wants us all to be one Luther didn’t put the edicts up to start a new church, he wanted a renewal, a revolution in the church to become more of God and less of man. The mother church was doing some dubious things -indulgences and priestly nepotism + not following Christ’s commands nor His example. The devil dances when believers fight We ought to focus more on our similarities, and less on the speck in our neighbor’s eye. I enjoy visiting different denominations and worshipping and digging into scriptures but continue to find comfort in the RC Church and rich childhood traditions including the Jesuit music. The Catholic Charasmatic Renewal has offered me the best of both worlds. Be blessed Be strong and courageous Come and follow Him, and He will give us peace and rest and joy and the desires of our heart
