that lovely arpeggio you are so fond of is even cooler when you realize it's done by multiple voices to create it. (Cesar and Mykal in particular, though I can't recall if Eli is in there too.) also, it does go left to right and back to the left.

Thank you for the entertaining and enlightening reaction! I love all the little acting details in this one, from the hilarious "no thoughts, head empty" salute Cesar pulls off (100% true to the animated movie) with the background "ha ha ha" sounds evoking hyena laughter, and Layne's blink-and-you'll miss it "fear beatboxing" expressions while on tippy-toes, to the way Geoff shifts between Scar's "affably evil", "cold-blooded schemer" and "barely contained scorn and rage" moods in movements, expressions and voice so fluidly. Those G1's and A1's are terrifying and gorgeous, befitting a lion. Great arrangement and on-point vocal percussion from Layne, amazing harmonies and interplay between Mykal (WOW!), Cesar and Eli. Everyone brought their A-game vocals-wise - and it looks like they had a ton of fun doing it.

Thanks for this VoicePlay reaction and analysis. My favorite group! Be sure to read what Layne did in the closed captions when "Scar" roars at the hyenas. Mykal was a founding member when VoicePlay was originally formed and named 4theLove, and a barbershop quartet. He left them early on for a successful career on Broadway. Our guys are extremely creative perfectionists...they don't know how to do anything halfway. No duds on their channel!

I can't help but laugh towards the end, when Geoff roars and the text reads "Meow". 🤣. It doesn't change how fantastic the music is, it's just funny.

Oh Ethan. I thought, for just a second, that you were gonna be the first reactor to catch one of their jokes. You were soooooo close…. at the very beginning, you talked about the background vocals being a short “ha ha ha”? My dude. They are hyenas. Singing HaHaHa. Laughing hyenas.
