Masters sharing eternal truth through jazz. May it always be so!

The music is a perfect metaphor for democracy, a bit atonal, a bit chaotic, a prevaling beat of hope and joy - in spite of everything. Democracy!Suite is masterful- I can't fathom why is is not the most popular jazz piece of our times. I vote for it. Wynton, please come back to Princeton NJ and the Appel Room in NYC and please please play this. I want my kids and grandkids to hear this in person.

Another valuable debate from a jazz summit chaired by Mr Wynton Marsalis and courtesy of The JLCO. Everyone's opinion was heard and there was no need for a show of hands: all participants were fully concordant at all points. I beg to move a vote of thanks for Wynton Marsalis, The JLCO and The Democracy Suite.

trevorpinnocky I think Mr Wynton did this political stuff in part and because of the democracy, and democracy was not very well represented by Trump, im pretty sure he thinks the same, musicians are not only musicians and they have rage and opinions as well and the right and obligation to involve in social matters

If you get bored after hearing excellent music, you clearly don't have a sense of style.

@@Zen.0N Well everything doesn't have to sound like Grand Russian Fantasia at double speed to be fun.
