Great to have your thoughts on what is an ever popular topic. I wouldn't like flying without a decent EC setup. I know that the mark 1 eyeball should always be the first line of defence when it comes to 'see and avoid', but there have been plenty of incidents where the human eye alone stood little chance of detecting other traffic. Fast, head-on situations, 'constant aspect' convergences and aircraft coming out of the sun are a few examples of situations where the human eye isn't great even when the lookout is good. As I'm still very green I'm willing to be corrected of course, but I'm currently of the opinion that audio EC, COMBINED with good lookout, has to be the best solution. Great to see another video from you Mike. With Air Law out of the way I'm back at Darley Moor getting stuck into my meteorology! 🙂

I completely agree, EC is a bit of a minefield and I hope the CAA/NATS sort out CAP 1391 soon. I really liked the funny bit at the end with Graeme. Keep safe buddy.
