This Hymn was sung at our wedding in 1968. She went to be with her Lord and Savior close to 2 months ago. He truly was her vision. She loved Him, the Father and the Holy Spirit. Her love of God and His truth never caused me to suffer any neglect for sure. I miss her so much. Thank you God.

I just lost my dearest friend who loved Jesus for 67 years. She was in ICU for six days, and each day, her eyes opened a little more til they were wide open, but we knew she could not see us. When it was decided to take her off life support, I was holding the hand of her husband as Betty took her last breath. Bill shed not a tear, only said "I know Who she is seeing now, the shining face of her Lord and Savior." I hope you can find comfort and peace in our shared eternal promise as believers. God Bless.

This was my son Asher’s favorite song! He passed away March 17 2020 in Butterworth, Malaysia.. and because of the lockdowns I could not go back to say goodbye to my son!!! How he loved The Lord, my precious pure hearted son, who was too good for this earth... no wonder God took him back to be with Him in Heaven! Death, where is your victory!!! Of all the hymns I have heard over the years, and there have been a lot, this hymn, but more so the performance and the arrangement touch me and move me in so many ways. On sad days it reminds me, that if Christ is my vision, all will be well and I have nothing to fear. On happy days, it reminds me to be vigilant and not let my gaze on Christ slip and to be thankful for the great gifts he has bestowed. This is thee most beautiful and precious piece of pure artistry I have heard. It’s so beautiful it’s in my funeral mass!
