If we have another 83 win season next year, heads need to be rolling. Jed botched the rebuild by signing (or giving extension) too many of our average players (Happ, Nico, Swanson, Taillon, Suzuki) and giving them no trade clauses when we should of been rebuilding. Now we are stuck with $200 mil payroll, players that cannot be moved, and basically blocking our prospects because they have no positions to play when called up. Sign a damn closer, fix the bullpen via FA or trades, trade Nico (if possible)/one of the OF to free up the log jam, and sign Juan Soto. We are focusing on getting the wrong types of players aka the ones that excel around the margins and are toolsy. You have to pay for power, velocity, and OBP. If the Ricketts wanna play money ball with this team instead of acting like a damn big market team, I am going to start reconsider my fandom for this team.
