Dimash is so talented that he allows himself to subvert for the sake of fun! In the MV of this song, he makes a parody of action movies, like 007: We have a mafia, a girl hostage to bandits, beautiful women, fights, car escape... But, the most important is the transgression of styles. There is no definite one: Now it's R&B, it's Funk, Bel Canto, Rap… All in the same song! A tribute to Dimash's idols: Michael Jackson, Jack Chan, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones… Freed from the ties of a record label, Dimash does what he likes with the enormous talent he has!

Yep. You are feeling the same thing I felt when I first saw this video. I was cruising along watching his videos from the talent competition show, and then his videos that were more operatic, or classically influenced, and then WHAM! This one hits, with pop/r&b vibes, rap thrown in, etc. He has SO many dimensions to him....

❗Grew up in Kazakhstan, sister and friends in undergrad with him, famous for his dry wit and off the wall silly you doubletake, he did a handprint in cement memorial, stood up talking and cleaning his hand, looked down and casually bent down and added another finger ! Looked up and said, they'll say look Dimash has 6 fingers ! 🤣

Dimash has never made it a secret about his admiration for MJ. He even made a tribute video to MJ. As a matter of fact, you see a little bit of Micahel Jackson in a lot of Dimash's performances. He even made a statement that at times, he feels as if MJ is on stage with him. I wonder what a performance with the two of them would have been like. Nothing short of amazing I'm sure. BTW, Dimash did study Takwando. I think Dimash had the most fun doing this video.

I think you’ll like his MV, “When I’ve Got You”. You can see a lot of MJ’s influence in that one as well. Also, he did a duet of “Lose Control” with Chante Moore recently. They were fantastic together.

👉 Dimash as a bad boy - great. I love it! What does a smart girl have to do if she wants to fish the bad boy?... run away!😁 … and yes, he can rap too... and in two pitches!! Dimash said: “My new music video “Be with Me”, which was produced by big international team released April, 30. 2021. The shooting was really exciting, and I hope that my fans will have a lot of fun watching it, because you haven’t seen me like that yet.” The artist commented with a smile. (dimashnews) - Nice background video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/an20dXufg897a8U The idea behind the “Be with Me” arrangement comes from Dimash (composer)and his friend and permanent arranger, Yerlan Bekchurin, got to work. He said, 'I think that deep down we were all inspired by the work of Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder ...' Dimash commissioned his friends Jordan Arakelyan and Dauren Shamuratov to write the lyrics.. Jordan wrote the main English lyrics and Dauren wrote the Kazakh rap. (Jordan Arakelyan as backup singer and her husband are part the Dimash team. They have been the best of friends since their University years. Dismash is the Godfather to their son.) The director Radislav Lukin praised Dimash's professionalism and acting skills. He took a maximum of 3 shots per cut. Cameraman Azamat Dulatov says that 'Be with Me' MV is a brand new genre. 70 people worked on this MV and it reached 1 million views after just 5 days. - Dimash #1 on MTV youtube channel, May 15, 2021 Livestream with the song 'Be With Me' - The song 'Be with Me' - first appeared in Dimash's first online concert, Jan,16.2021 'Dimash Digital Show': kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYLJhXmsZtZrbsk - Performance 2021 Slavic Bazaar Be with Me - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGionWytf6d1j5Y (Thanks to all Dears who helped to complete the information)

Great fun reaction, Alexxa. 😃 Glad you had fun with this one. Dimash did as well when he was making this MV. He wanted to have fun and have some action. Yes, definitely the swagger, attitude of the MAN came out. This is definitely a different side of him , but then again he has many sides. Just saying. He wanted to be like Jackie Chan who was able to take on the entire mafia goon squad and beat everyone. Then be like 007, and then throw in a bit of comedy by photo bombing the young couple…🤣 Fun MV. 😂

Always love your reactions to Dimash ❤️ I also enjoy this MV. Maybe try Smoke next time? He has made two videos of this song: the first is a performance video ( sexy) and the other one is a regular MV and shows his fun side. I prefer the performance video for several reasons. You pay more attention to the song in this and it is very beautiful and like I wrote, sexy 💞 Either way, I am looking forward to seeing your next reaction to Dimash, the G.O.A.T 🤩 Greetings from a Danish Dear 🇩🇰 ❤

I knew you would get a kick out of this , when you got to it!! I like it too, when it came out. It was FUN! You'll get to know all the different types of music that he likes to do, and also, the production of his shows, and music videos are top notch. You don't see that level, here 9n the US. His Father produces his stuff, usually, and other family and long time friends are in his inner circle of trusted ones that help with his career. He is super LOYAL. I hope someone sends you the duet he does with Placid Domingo, in a beautiful , more intimate setting. His best Opera, yet.

Salut belle Alexxa 🌹Personally not my favorite because of non-existent voice acrobatics but it shows his versatility. Very Michael Jackson influenced (we know Dimash is a fan). But like everybody said you ain't seen nothing yet. ''Smoke" kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnLKdaKFn6eYpcU is another MV with the same vibe + his voice acrobatics, love that one. Merci et continue ton beau voyage des découvertes de Dimash (tant d'autres à regarder) Salutations du Québec. ❤

🤣You cried anyway! (BTW, no need to excuse crying. Happy tears. Excited tears. Sad tears. It's all good.) He's composed about 20 songs so far. Many are serious, but there's a lot of fun ones too, like this one. For this one he wanted to do something kinda analogous to MJ's You Rock My World. He seldom writes lyrics, and for this one Jordan, one of his backing singers, wrote the English lyrics and another friend wrote the bars of the Kazakh rap part. But for all such collaborations the writers he collaborates with write based on his guidance about what he wants. Same for the screenplay of the video. He has an idea and then cocreates to get the end result he's after. Jordan also wrote the lyrics for some other Dimash songs, including one he didn't compose but is still a Dimash original, Fly Away. It also feels like a nod to MJ, maybe also Justin Timberlake. His all round brilliance does a bit overwhelming and unbelievable at times. I think this is a consequence of his generally conservative approach. To explain what I mean in _general terms_ , he spends _years_ quietly studying and practicing a given genre or technique or element of art, eg acting, before introducing that into a performance that we get to see. So by then, when we first see it, and it's surprising, he's already stunningly good. To explain what I mean with a _specific example_ , consider his most recent version of Dudarai. Dudarai is a 100 year old song he's been singing since childhood. He's sung it in public many times, including with his sister, but has generally done so solidly grounded in a traditional approach, as the Kazakh folk ballad it is. However, in the meantime, one of his earlier degrees was a Masters in music composition, majoring in pop and jazz. (He also did one in classical music composition; he's currently awaiting the results of his defense of his thesis for his PhD in Musicology, i.e. he's about to become a Dr.) He had never composed or publicly sung in a jazz vein despite his related Masters. And then suddenly he was a master of jazz/funk, seemingly out of nowhere. The upshot is simultaneously sublime, as if he had always been a master of singing that way, and shocking, because it was as if he had never been singing that way let alone being a master of it. That's because he's doing all this background study and practice for years before first sharing the fruits of his labor for any given artistic element. So it's a weird combo. He's extremely experimental, trying all kinds of things out. For example, he privately enjoys heavy metal, but you'd barely know that based on his own public releases. But he's generally not experimental in his public releases in the normal sense of the word. Full of surprises in terms of the variety of things he releases, yet. But generally it seems like perfection no matter what genre or technique or whatever he releases. Peace and love from the UK. 🕊💖 PS. I suddenly had an idea. You know what I think you might enjoy, and we Dears might really enjoy you engaging with? Reacting to LiLaSi's Ultimate Dimash Guide. LiLaSi is kind of a reflection of Dimash's perfection and humility. Their videos about him are gorgeous. Yeah, I reckon you trying at least the first video, as a reaction, will be a great thing for you to do. If all goes well, react to the other 11, maybe one a month or something like that. Alternatively, just watch them whenever you want to quickly get up to speed on the many dimensions of Dimash as a person and artist. They don't contain any spoilers, will not be blocked, and are as outstanding as he and his art is.
