This is so true. It's so easy to see your own flaws, but your friends see something very different. It's so hard to be generous to yourself. It's so easy to see what is admirable in others.

Thank you. I’ve really found this outlook helpful.

@@PhutureprimitiveMusic to me you are up there with David Bowie, Prince and Vangelis. they are last century but you are 21st Century.

Great point, lots of people talking about "just be kind" and yet many forget to include themselves in this.

Yes! I think it’s often the case the how people treat others is a reflection of the way they treat themselves.

I found out only a few years ago that I was my worst enemy and critic. Someone told me back then to be “kind to myself” I didn’t know what that meant. I’ve since been on the road and on track with being better to myself and treating myself as I would a precious child or a dear friend. Thanks Rain, for this welcome reminder and positive message. Keep em’ coming :) Love ya man!

Yeah, that moment of seeing aspects of our own relationship with ourselves can be shocking , and/or revelatory. But at to treat yourself better! 👍🏼🤩

My answer is Yes. It wasn't always that way. I learned to love myself, stop victim posturing, and start caring for my mental and physical health. Now I'm not always positive with myself, i still let myself have it if i make poor judgment errors. However I'm mostly very nice to myself. After all is said and done, I'm all i got and I'm worth it. If I'm lucky, one day maybe someone else will love me for who i am. I'm glad to see you making good progress Rain. It's nice to know and i love the parts of you that you share with the world. In peticular your creative music abilities. Be well, continue to grow, and know your appreciated. Thank you.🕉🙏🏼🕉

For many of us, negative and toxic thoughts are a sign of suboptimal neurochemical state. A visceral message to step back and recenter, to activate. Breathe, eat, walk, medicate - whatever it takes to find your more enlightened wisdom.

So true. The reasons for negative and destructive thought patterns are numerous. And there is no one “fix”. And what works for one may not work for another. I also know how positively impacted my life has been by exploring a wide variety of potential solutions or helpful tips to ease suffering or help me see things from a more empowered perspective.

Well said, and well done, as usual:) In a way it's a relief to find out even you have negative thoughts at times. Of course you have the best and most positive advice for dealing with it:) Thanks Rain, peace and love, please keep up the good work.

This is interesting because I would've never thought about it in depth like this. Now I see what you're talking about. My shadow wouldn't be my best friend either 😅. This is why I run a lot to clear my head. My mind talks too much 😆

Thanks buddy, I’m glad to hear you’re still running a lot. Physical exertion can be a great way to clear one’s head. 👍🏼
