God Bless Bea, She was sick in this episode..
@jimhaggard7436 Жыл бұрын
@@1953childstarNo, not in this episode, unless you mean the ordinary type of sickness. Bea was 75 here and makes me wish the Golden Girls had continued for five more years. She returned to Rosie ten years later in 2007 for the DVD release of Maude on its 35th anniversary. At that time she was undergoing treatment for the illness that ultimately took her life in 2009.

She knew she only truly worked cause she was as excited as the audience and left when she was too sucked into the myth of fame. Most stick it out and suck out the money till the end.

were you very young when Maude was on...i was 11 when it started watched with my parents and didnt really appreciate until many years later in reruns..and of course she was perfection in Golden Girls
@BrunetteOnTheCouch7 ай бұрын
I liked Golden Girls but it was never worthy of Bea. Norman celebrated and wrote a 6 season love letter to her brilliance. Golden Girls' writers had a clear thing against her - ugly digs under the guise of 'comedy' torward the 'character' I floved Maude. I'll take that show every day all day over GG.

@@BrunetteOnTheCouch I think she's fabulous in both. And Bea had some great kickbacks to the other Girls.

I’m watching old episodes of Maude - again and just LOVE Her. The topics they addressed on Maude are amazing! Can’t believe abortion was addressed and safe and legal 50 years ago and now we are going absolutely backwards in 2022.

Yeah right. I remember looking to the future with hope and getting better as society and just like human beings with all our potential. Now I am scared. Is like everything is fracturing and we all need to heal but where is the will power. In my case Golden Girls thought me so many things. Wish you peace!

@@aldoalda7970 Loved seeing her. She was 1 of 2 TV moms I had; her & Elizabeth Montgomery. When they passed it truly made me sad. 😢 Maude & The Golden Girls. Never missed and taped to beta & VHS formats. 😀

Maude coming to help when everyone is sick on All In the Family is one of the classic episodes. Franklin Delano Roosevelt!
@kt91669 күн бұрын
I knew Bea from record albums on which she appeared, like THE JEWISH AMERICAN PRINCESS, where she was a scream. I also knew her from Broadway record albums, but then she appeared on "All In The Family", which our whole family watched, and WOW! This was the lady from the records! And then she got her own show! WOW again! And, obviously, she and Rosie became great friends. Thank you for posting this. It brings back wonderful memories.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I feel like interviews just aren’t like this anymore. It’s very straight and to the point. Then, they do a silly/fun game, show a clip for the latest thing someone’s doing and it’s over. It’s so calculated and rehearsed. The celebs don’t seem to be able to tell the audience a story or anything as much. Sometimes, but rare. It seems like the host over powers/ out shines them? Not sure if it’s the over bearing hosts or celebs simply aren’t like Bea Arthur? Maybe it’s just me.

How many bullies does it take to make a duo??? Just these two apparently. They deserve each other. FACT: Bea called Betty White a c_ _t. Rue confirmed this. Rosie, this early was just OK, but as the show went on was vilified because of her staff treatment. Simply a loud obnoxious individual.

I don't like this host, since she embarrassed Tom selleck in her show and treated him not as should be by asking Strang questions about law etc. And he as actor was not comfortable back then.. Search on KZbin by yourself to know what I'm talking about!
