Anyone who hunts in this manner, can take ALL the wildlife they want. This is the definition of a Fair Fight! Brave People, indeed.

"Fair Fight"?! What a stupid ignorant premise! Imagine all of the pain and anguish that that walrus went through. It's death happened very, VERY slowly.

Their harpoon barbs must have been very cleverly designed. There were three men on the line, I presume the fourth man waded in and killed the animal somehow. Possibly the tug-of-war was prolonged somewhat for filming purposes.

I've used a harpoon when I was working in the Arctic. I went out a group of Inuit on a bolluga hunt. I harpooned a 10 foot one. You just ride along side one and stab it with the harpoon then pull the rope which is attached to the point of the harpoon which when pulled it pivots the top of harpoon like a grapple. Allow the animal to swim and drown. Then drag it to the beach. The women do all the butchering. This is true.
