Thanks for the perfect beach shots (with added male model and rain)🌦️👦🏖️Now that looks more like the Caribbean I was expecting🏝️

The rain had marginally held off this cruise but didn't let up in Barbados. It was pretty much non-stop after this and into the next day. Can't complain too much as the weather had been really good before!

I feel like Barbados has change since the last time I was there. Did you enjoy the beach? Nice last night on board.

Can't remember the last time I was in Barbados it was so long ago. Beaches were very nice. Very fine and warm sand with some baby crabs about the place.

A good vblog. A thought has just past my mind while seeing you on those unforgettable beaches, how did you get your sunblock on your back as you seem to burn quite quickly? As a solo traveller I mostly keep my shirt on but I can take some sun without sunblock because of my Alpine genes.

Honestly most of the time I don't lotion my back. The time I have my shirt off is limited. Luckily I seem to have a fair amount of resistance to the sun now so it's not as big a deal as before.

The beaches look empty! Nice shots though, shame it rained! Next time try the Boatyard a small fee to get in and you get a free boat ride and snorkeling with Turtles and an underwater ship wreck, well worth the small entrance fee 😊 Don't like it when you get to the packing that means its time to go home 😞 Where are you cruising to next ?

Barbados was a home port so a lot of passengers leaving and coming on. I stayed an extra night (was actually cheaper) so not many would have a chance to explore. I think I've done that snorkeling before on a shore excursion... there should be a video of it somewhere on here 😂 I've just arrived at Kusadasi in Turkey on the Celebrity Infinity!

Nice beaches. I go to Carlisle bay and hang out either at the Boat Yard or Harbour lights. This was the only place it rained 😅. You like your theatre shows 😊.

Looks like a nice area, just searched it up on Google Maps. Looks a lot better than my view here in London anyway! They had some good entertainment on this cruise, I was impressed by the choices

The boatyard is great value. 35 dollars gets you a sun bed, brolly, free drink (even alcoholic) and the swim with turtles snorkel trip included plus your taxi back to the ship. No Brainer 😂
@CaptureCruising Жыл бұрын
Wow that is good value! would have paid that just for a brolly! must have missed this excursion when I was looking, I swear they were all over $80 on mine
@louised4260 Жыл бұрын
It’s not P&O excursion you pay when you go in 😊

Ahhh... that's why it's good value then! 😂

Hi! I am pondering Caribbean transatlantic. Two things are putting me off - the 8 hour flight to Barbados and the 8 sea days with only one stop in the Azores on the way back. Any advice or tips?
@CaptureCruising10 ай бұрын
An interesting one as next month I will be doing a cruise like this. The flight would put me off but once it's done it's done. Flying back is better imo as it's overnight. The sea days didn't bother me. Depends what ship you're on. If there's plenty to do, the days will sail by! Depends what you're going for? Not many ports to explore but very relaxing being on the ship for so long. Weather was really good too so could barely feel the ship moving through most of it.

@@CaptureCruising thanks for replying. A friend said flying back is better too so maybe that's the way forward. I have only done a week long cruise before so only had one seas day at a time. I think I'm more of a port girl so maybe i should just bite the bullet and fly there and back and have 2 weeks of Caribbean ports :D I have also never flown solo! I am booked for Canary's next year so if i survive that 4 hour flight I'll know if I'd cope with 8 haha

I mean I imagine it's better but these repositioning cruises are usually way better value than the roundtrips so could still be worth it, even if it's a little bit worse. I mean two weeks in the Caribbean can't be bad! Flying solo isn't bad. I was daunted my first time but it's so easy these days I never worry anymore. Opens your cruising horizons around the world as well which is always good. I'm sure the flight would be ok. I've never had a bad TUI plane, even the short haul ones are rather roomy.
