Enjoyed your video very much. I catch a lot of flounder in New York but my family is from Wexford and I would always try to catch fish from shore whenever I visited with no luck. But it’s nice to see it can be done. Ireland is a beautiful country and when you combine it with fishing there’s nothing like it. Thank you for making these videos. ☘️🐟

I really enjoyed it!! Triple shot of turbos no matter what size would be right up my street! Nice flounder too. I am so used to catching them in estuarine waters that is usually pretty muddied up so was nice to see one in the clear water! I'd have to have a bigger bait out there to see if a bigger one came along! Great video!

I've only just found this one ! I did laugh when you seemed to strike and the fish was on the surface almost straight away,how deep/shallow is it !!
@IrishAnglingAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Its a sandbank Im fishing onto so its shallow but not mad shallow. Maybe 1-2ft at max but with turbot being the shape they are they do come to the surface quick enough anyway haha.

@@IrishAnglingAdventures - Fresh Blacks. It's the same place I had 1 of 4 bass a few weeks back - 1 was 5lb, which is by far my personal best for any fish!! Apparently, you can catch turbot from there too, hence me watching your video for tips!

@@journeyintococo6996 not so bad. , definitely best baits for turbot are sandeel and mackerel. Skinny strips and for the mackerel preferably.belly strips as they add a bit of flash. No need to cast far you'll get them 20 yards out

Hi Sean. Unfortunately at the time Ian didnt have a mic for his camera so we couldnt do much a out it. He has gotten a mic since so expect better quality audio from him

hi where abouts are there some good beaches like this i thought most of your fishing was from the rocks?
@IrishAnglingAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven. Sorry only getting around to these comments now. KZbin never sent a notification. Weather coast is generally where you will get most of your turbot focusing on the surf beaches.fish baits like sandeel or bits of mackerel are your beat baits with rigs that provide a bit of movement. We dont really stick to a specific type . From piers to surf beaches to rocks not much we dont fish

Hey man. Most west coast surf beaches will have turbot . Sandeel or mackerel is best bait for them and there is no need to cast far for them

Ya turbot are a predatory fish so fish bairs for best. Fillets of sandeel and half small sandeel work great

It is nice video, could I ask which beach on this video?
@IrishAnglingAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Hey man. Most surf beaches, especially on the west coast will hold a generous supply of turbot. Using fish baits in close at around d 30-40 yards will pick them up.
